I hadn't seen the original news about Russian hackers being responsible either. In fact I had no idea it happened. Maybe this simply isn't such big news outside Germany?

The Russians and US always spy on each other, but there is on evidence of any Russian master plot to rig the elections. The Clinton Camp have to realize that the election is lost and they should prepare for the next one instead of spitting out the dummy.

Look, the handwringing and pearl clutching because of Russian state "interference" is impossible to take seriously coming from Americans, whose government has probably been involved in more direct coups of democratically elected leaders than any other country in the world. And that probably doesn't even begin to count the amount of "interference" that the US does that at the level of releasing/hacking emails of a political party. This is the world we live in, and furthermore, I don't think anyone has given any good reason to believe that the release of these e-mails had a significant effect on the outcomes.

Quite apart from the ironies above, it is still our responsibility to take every available step to verify and ensure the integrity of our electoral process. Failing to do so would (does) herald the end of the Great Experiment.

Only by making sure our electoral process is secure, will the election of any "party" representing the interests of the electorate rather than those of the military/industrial complex ever be possible.

I can't speak for Barbos, but no news service is to be blindly trusted. RT is worth reading on some issues, and not that worthwhile on others. Russia and America have conflicting interests on various things, so there will be times when it's worth getting another perspective.

Syria is a great example. The US has been saying for years they have been arming and supporting "moderate" democratic rebels in Syria. They have been doing it with your tax dollars. RT has been prominent in challenging this view, and gradually the truth has come to light that there is no clear delineation between the jihadis and the so called moderate democratic militants.

Some Americans don't like giving arms to groups who smilingly behead 12 year old children, as happened just after this photo was taken.
