Confirmed, Russian hackers ARE NOT the source behind the recent WikiLeaks

I hadn't seen the original news about Russian hackers being responsible either. In fact I had no idea it happened. Maybe this simply isn't such big news outside Germany?

The Russians and US always spy on each other, but there is on evidence of any Russian master plot to rig the elections. The Clinton Camp have to realize that the election is lost and they should prepare for the next one instead of spitting out the dummy.

Sure seems to bother you that some people want to examine the process whereby a giant orange slimeball got elected.
Sorry dude- maybe you can pray to your aliens to shut those libtards the hell up.

The word is "influence" not rig. I think the Russians wanted to weaken Clinton. They probably didn't think people would be dumb enough to elect Trump in the first place.

They have accepted it. You seem quite calm about a foreign nation illegally hacking into emails to leak in to the press.

Russian hackers are not the source behind the recent WikiLeaks release of leaked secret data on German-US intelligence cooperation and a parliamentary inquiry into it, Der Spiegel reports, citing unnamed security officials who have indicated it’s an inside job
https://www.rt.com/news/370648-germany-wikileaks-russian-hackers/

If "unnamed security officials" qualifies as "confirmed," then it's even more confirmed that Russia was behind the DNC hack.

And you should link to Der Spiegel instead, because RT can't be trusted to report what they said.

You can google it yourself, it's in german.

I take all sources with a pinch of salt. We have Faux News, Clinton News Network (CNN) and the British Brainwashing Corporation (BBC)

Your approach leads you to the very error you seek to avoid.

By declaring ALL sources to be unreliable, you lead yourself to the false conclusion that they are all equal in their (un)reliability..

Look, the handwringing and pearl clutching because of Russian state "interference" is impossible to take seriously coming from Americans, whose government has probably been involved in more direct coups of democratically elected leaders than any other country in the world. And that probably doesn't even begin to count the amount of "interference" that the US does that at the level of releasing/hacking emails of a political party. This is the world we live in, and furthermore, I don't think anyone has given any good reason to believe that the release of these e-mails had a significant effect on the outcomes.

Furthermore, it is amazing to me the propensity of both sides to fall for this Red Scare bullshit time and again. The democrats really are just a bunch of Neo-cons. Wallace and Roosevelt would be rolling in their graves.

I've only seen speculation and not conclusive evidence or it would be over.

I don't think there's any arguing with THAT irony!

Quite apart from the ironies above, it is still our responsibility to take every available step to verify and ensure the integrity of our electoral process. Failing to do so would (does) herald the end of the Great Experiment.

The democrats really are just a bunch of Neo-cons. Wallace and Roosevelt would be rolling in their graves.

Only by making sure our electoral process is secure, will the election of any "party" representing the interests of the electorate rather than those of the military/industrial complex ever be possible.

Oh!!! Anyone else catch that. It was a shift... we see that in climate change discussions.

- Earth isn't warming
- Earth is warming, but man isn't cause
- Earth is warming, and man is causing it, but there isn't anything we can do
- Earth isn't warming

Now we have

- Russians didn't hack emails
- Russians hacked emails but didn't leak to Wikileaks
- Russians hacked emails, leaked to Wikileaks, but didn't affect the election

Furthermore, it is amazing to me the propensity of both sides to fall for this Red Scare bullshit time and again. The democrats really are just a bunch of Neo-cons. Wallace and Roosevelt would be rolling in their graves.
Red Scare? Jebus!

I sense a freudian slip, so I'm glad to hear you admit RT isn't to be trusted.

I can't speak for Barbos, but no news service is to be blindly trusted. RT is worth reading on some issues, and not that worthwhile on others. Russia and America have conflicting interests on various things, so there will be times when it's worth getting another perspective.

Syria is a great example. The US has been saying for years they have been arming and supporting "moderate" democratic rebels in Syria. They have been doing it with your tax dollars. RT has been prominent in challenging this view, and gradually the truth has come to light that there is no clear delineation between the jihadis and the so called moderate democratic militants.

Some Americans don't like giving arms to groups who smilingly behead 12 year old children, as happened just after this photo was taken.

And where is the video?

I have seen it and it is bad as you would think.

One of the guys in the video was seen elsewhere, can't remember now...

from wiki about the group

On 19 July 2016, during the northern Aleppo offensive, a video emerged that appeared to show al-Zenki fighters recording themselves beheading a Palestinian boy named Abdullah Tayseer Al Issa.[35] In the video, they claim he had been fighting for the Syrian government in Aleppo with the Palestinian-Syrian Liwa al-Quds.[36][37][38] Liwa al-Quds denied this and claimed the child was a 12-year-old Palestinian refugee from a poor family[35] who had been kidnapped.[39] The following day, a social media account purportedly owned by Abdallah Issa's sister, Zoze Issa, claimed that Issa was a Syrian from the Wadi al-Dahab district of Homs, who had volunteered to fight with pro-Government forces.[35] The New Arab reported that someone claiming to be his cousin said that he was a Syrian pro-regime fighter aged 19 from the Wadi al-Dahab district who suffered thalassemia, which caused stunted growth.[40] In a statement, al-Zenki condemned the killing and claimed it was an "individual mistake that does not represent the general policy of the group", and that it had detained those involved.[41] After their claim that they detained the members of the incident, several videos showed that the members, who were part of the beheading, are still fighting alongside the group.[42]
