Dutch man, 69, who 'identifies as 20 years younger' launches legal battle to change age

Sure.

Right after giving the date of birth it can give the date he wishes he was born on.

Date he wishes he was born on can become a movement.

Ah. So is this a good policy for anyone who wishes a difference between what happened at the moment of birth and later identifications?

No.

The date of birth is something known.

The gender identification is not known at birth.

It is like putting adult height on the birth certificate.

Meaningless.

You cannot know what age someone will eventually identify as.

No. And when they identify as being born on that date they can add that date after the date of birth.

DOB: December 3, 1954.

Date he wishes he was born on: August 4th, 1975.

Nothing wrong with that.

Then we can do that to any and all characteristics later as well.

Your phrasing though ... so trans-age-phobic. Should Shawn King's birth certificate say "race, race he wishes he was born with"?

The date of birth cannot be changed no matter how a person identifies.

But if they want to identity as being born on some other date that date can also be included on the birth certificate.

Under the heading of: Date he wishes he was born on:

So what about OTHER characteristics that were present on the day of birth? Such as Shawn King's race when he was born versus his race now? Should it say "Race he wishes he was born with"?

Why is race even on the certificate?

Good question. When I fill in the blank as SubGenius, people get irate for some reason.

Good job not answering.

So you have no reason for race to appear?

Other than just looking at a birth certificate and seeing it, I have no reason for it to appear there. So you ducked the question again.

I know why this question is hard for you - the party hasn't told you what the answer is yet.

So there is no legitimate reason for race to be there yet you insist on talking about it?

You have ulterior motivations here.

Your nonsense is transparent.

I didn't design the birth certificate. You're ducking the question.

You are desperately trying to change the subject.

You are comparing a real phenomena that is rare but universal in humans, transgender identification, with a wish from an old guy that he was younger.

It is an insult to the people that must try to live in a world as a transgender with such bigotry and ignorance.

Race should not appear on a birth certificate since there are thousands and thousands, maybe millions of races.

As far as I know the only definition of race is "Differences I find important". This ignores a lot of clear phenotypical differences in people allegedly of the same race.

Who says what race a person belongs to?

Are these two men the same race?

I'm comparing trans-age to trans-race. You're ducking the question.

I did not design the birth certificate. You're barking up the wrong tree there.

So should Shawn King's birth certificate list a birth race and a chosen race as two separate items?

Trans-younger age is as real as trans-genius or trans-good looking.

It is a wish not a true human psychological state.

To compare it to a real human condition is bigotry.

I'll talk about race when you answer the question.

Do you think the same is true of trans-race?

Should Shawn King's birth certificate list a birth race and a chosen race as two separate items?

I don't think race is a real thing.

What is real is heritage.

And your heritage does not always say what you will look like.

Are those two men the same race?

I don't think race is a real thing.

But you don't design birth certificates, you say "do you want fries with that?"

Should Shawn King's birth certificate list a birth race and a chosen race as two separate items?

Since race is meaningless, the only thing with meaning is racists, it can say anything he wants it to say.

If I had control nobody would be claiming to know the race of anybody else on a government document.

Are these men the same race?

Why do you avoid this salient question?
