Who Agrees Fourth Wave Feminism is Toxic Femininity And Should Be Abolished?

"More perturbing than the thought of women finally taking over." Lol. I had missed that. Bit of a giveaway as to the underlying concerns, I'd say.

Ok so maybe I'll start using the word perturbed instead of triggered.

As to this:

White, American women don't know how good they have it. They have it so good, they have time to waste everyone else's time.

Hm. Yes. The amount of our time being wasted is arguably an issue, but it might not be female actors that are doing it. ;)

They suck the novelty out of my treasured memories and replace it with a huge sign that says "women can't do what men can, here's proof".
So ummm... just how many of your classics have been tainted by female inserted leads?

Well, it is pretty pathetic to think roles in movies are sacred. Apparently, you do not wish to extend that "right" to those whose disagreement may also be based on what they view as "sacred".

It's pretty pathetic to say that what I consider sacred is pathetic. About 15 of my favorite movies have been changed just because wokeness Jimmy. There are way more but yeah

And Ruby it is not reaching to say that these remakes are bad. They're scientifically proven bad. BAd taste is the issue now, and you're right I can't bash anyone for that I guess

It's not about wokeness, it's about trying to make money. Nothing has been changed, they are additional, nor mutually exclusive.

Here's an example: the series Toni's Boys, a reboot of Charlie's Angels to men was a separate thing that did not ruin anything. Decades later the Charlie's Angles franchise is still alive and well, including Cameron Diaz shaking her butt in panties for the camera. So, stop complaining.

None of your favorite movies have been changed - the originals exist.

How in the world is any movie "scientifically proven" to be bad (or good)?

You're complaining Don. I'm giving an opinion. And if I had to go on popular opinion I'd say that I am right. When a kid discovers Ghostbusters now, they'll have to sit through a starter pack lesson on wokeness instead of being transported to an incredible universe. The scenereo repeats until false notions of equality destroy the imagination of children as well as my deepest and fondest memories

Yes, I am complaining back. You know, why? Because THIS is what rights activism has been reduced to. Tens of thousands of men are dying and millions being brainwashed in the world to abuse women, fight other men, disbelieve science, and/or believe in sky fairies telling them to do it. And you guys are complaining about this insignificant privileged thing. It's ridiculous.

Wokeness has nothing to do with it. It's about trying to make money. The new movies have no impact at all on the concrete existence of the originals. It's all in your head, it's mental. You just have to stop thinking one effects the other. Now, I've alredy given you an example. Toni's Boys does not impact Charlie's Angels, even if they renamed it to the original, they are separate series, not the same. Just imagine Cameron Diaz shaking it in her panties. Do the sexy men from Toni's Boys somehow ruin it for you? Just don't think about them.

Laughing dog there is real science in polling and in commenting. I would put money on any remake put out in the last five years being unfalsifiably shitty. The originals don't exist as the same thing, once they have been pooped all over. Like I said they are linked together forever, and which version do you think a parent ignorant to the truth is going to show their child first?

Firstly, there are 15, but there are way more? That makes no sense. It is either around 15 or way more than 15.

Secondly, and they are? Because I doubt you can list 15 films.

You keep returning to the money dimension and now you have entered the realm of "it's the way you see". I don't deny that because I am commenting as myself, worried about the classics, and everything is mental. The whole point I'm making is about the mental aspect. They do much more damage with this stuff than you think. This stuff will be played repeatedly until the end, or need of video players and beyond. And Everytime someone sees it, a tiny voice inside their brain parts will whisper things like "gosh men are so much funnier" until people start to believe it.

While polling uses scientific methods, opinions are not facts. So any poll about opinions may accurately measure the opinions but it does not measure or assess the validity of the opinions.
Like I said they are linked together forever, and which version do you think a parent ignorant to the truth is going to show their child first?
Since there is no truth about which version is objectively the best, your question is moot.

So which version of (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman do you like best? The original recording by Aretha Franklin? Carole King (who co-wrote the song)'s version? And can Carole King's version be considered a re-make? What about Mary J. Blige's version? Was it ok that Rod Stewart covered it? How would you rate his version?

No one in the world is forcing you to go see or to like remakes of any movies.

Really? Because I thought that Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon were much funnier than Harold Ramos or Dan Aykroyd. I didn't think Kirsten Wiig was that funny and this was not Melissa McCarthy's best work but Kate McKinnon is easily at least as funny as Bill Murray. So, for that matter is Aquafina.

I didn't use those works of art to form my brains impressions as a child and create the memories I hoped to keep unspoiled. They're not even movies?

Your taste is your choice but your statements about it can sometimes hurt the thing that you (for whatever reason) think you're helping.

So what movies specifically, should be easy to list 10, you say there are a lot more than 15, were ruined by this whole 'wokeness' thing?

Ghostbusters was not a 'stamped female' kind of film.

That's how it was advertised and promoted. And clearly little effort was put into it. The cast deserved better, as did the franchise/original.

You didn't like it? 'Kay. No need to have a hissy fit because not everyone agrees with you.

You did like it? 'Kay. No need to have a hissy fit because not everyone agrees with you, and many see it as substandard and stamped as "female" to avoid such criticism.

Also, we all know that Ebert didn't review the 2016 Ghostbusters film.

Relevance?

Odd, because another1 specifically noted:

The redundant gender swapping in Hollywood remakes is more perturbing than the thought of women finally taking over.
Hollywood has been big on remakes since the 1950s and repeated sequels since about the late 90s. Why is it that when women are inserted into these roles, that the remake is perturbing relative to men being inserted into repeat roles? Ocean's 11 comes out as a remake of Oceans 11, and there isn't a peep about remake issues. Put women into Ocean's 8 and all of a sudden men are feeling peturbed.

Whats even odder is that the text you quoted there doesn't say anything about it being peturbing now and not then, or with women and not with men. What you criticize about the text you quote isn't even in the quote.

I must have missed all of the whining from the conservatives when Oceans 11 was released.
What you criticize about the text you quote isn't even in the quote.
What isn't in the quote is any suggestion by another1 that remakes without the female inserts are an issue.

The hissy fits are being thrown in social media and right-wing cable news by conservatives. Much like with the latest Star Wars.
