He'll certainly make nice with the EU. He is for adopting the EU currency. He is against fast tracking Ukraine into the EU. He is not outright opposed to Ukraine's ascension. He said Ukraine's candidacy for EU membership "does not correspond to the values, principles, or regulations of the European Union" so we can assume from this Hungary most definitely will. Magyar and Ursula von der Leyen are both members of the European People's Party so hopefully this brings a good working relationship.

All capitalist systems require the complicity of the middle class to reinforce social stratification from the middle. When affluent workers come to see themselves generally as part of a broader proletariat whose needs are at odds with those of capitalists, states tend to descend into chaos for a while. It is a truth much older than capitalism itself, but Trump and his cronies aren't great students of history and don't really understand what they are risking by eroding the well-being and goodwill of the phylactery class.
