In yet another demonstration of Newsom’s disdain for democracy, Newsom got his pet project of redrawing congressional districts on the ballot and the dumb clucks in California voted yes. Newsom used California people’s hatred of Trump to pass this dog shit proposition. And really this whole charade is about Newsom and his image about being tough and standing up to Trump as part of his strategy to win the democratic nomination. What an insufferable prick this man is. But I suspect he is going be even worse as time goes on.

Why does he feel the need to "stand up to Trump" on districting in particular? What prompted this?

Authorities on Sunday are investigating after a man and dog were shot in San Francisco. San Francisco police closed off the area around 4th and Market Streets near San Francisco Center. The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. The man was taken to the hospital. Two other people, including a police officer, had minor injuries. It's unknown from what injuries. But they declined to be taken to the hospital.

Dana Williamson, Gov. Gavin Newsom's former chief of staff, was indicted on federal charges alleging she was involved in a scheme to steal campaign money from former federal Health Secretary Xavier Becerra. The federal indictment lists four other co-conspirators. It alleges that Williamson, 53, developed a plan with Sean McCluskie, a longtime Becerra aide, to siphon money from one of Becerra's dormant state campaign accounts to give to McCluskie to pad his salary after he accepted a job as his chief of staff in Washington.

I don’t think Newsom is directly responsible for those things (even if Swiz’s does), but the fact that The Others are grossing him out, is unforgivable for a rightly civilized gentleman.
