I am unburdened by what has been.
Lots of words but still none the wiser where the anti-trans is or the Silicon Valley CEOs are Trump loving.
Lots of words? Not sure if that’s an epic sentence fragment or just lots of random words.Lots of words but still none the wiser where the anti-trans is or the Silicon Valley CEOs are Trump loving.
I have to start off saying this: I dislike coffee. So Starbucks was never a ‘thing’ for me. Still, once I found myself hungry with no chance for a while to grab any real food so I grabbed a muffin at Starbucks.Starbucks is not very well liked by lefties due to their anti labor policies. And San Francisco is packed with lefties.Starbucks is abandoning SF. Local cafes are happy to move in.
Local cafes from Andytown to Sana'a Cafe are taking over downtown SF
A nice little story about what actually happens when businesses "flee California in droves"; generally speaking, they are replaced by superior local businesses who understand the market better than national franchises because they live here and know what their customers actually want. You know, like how capitalist free markets are supposed to work. I'd love to see an SF downtown with no national mega-box stores at all some day. Why do we need to give up city block after city block to lazy, dated, and increasingly unprofitable chains like Nordstrom's or McDonald's, when we could have that space freed up for our own, better, stores, that are more interesting for consumers and whose profits are more likely to remain in the state economy?
From the article:
Crabbe isn’t the only local cafe owner who was excited to have the opportunity to lease a space that was occupied by Starbucks for years. Yemeni coffee chain Sana’a Cafe is taking over three former Starbucks in downtown SF, and Spro Coffee Lab opened a new cafe in an ex-Starbucks at 201 Spear St. earlier this month, as the San Francisco Business Times reported it planned to do. Ritual Coffee is planning to open a new cafe in October at a former location of the chain at 295 California St., and Compton’s Coffee House is set to take over another Starbucks at 359 Grant Ave.
“We’re seeing an opportunity for small businesses for the first time in a long time to move into these spaces that are in marquee locations,” said Aidan Compton, the owner of Compton’s Coffee House, which also has locations in the Fillmore and North Beach.
It's cute that you believe more words will hope you become wiser.Lots of words but still none the wiser where the anti-trans is or the Silicon Valley CEOs are Trump loving.

If their argument holds water, are they lying to the public every time they claim that the bill will, in fact, prevent illegals from voting? The Republican plaintiffs, led by California Assemblyman Carl DeMaio (R), said that California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) and Secretary of State Shirley Weber (D) changed a key line of the language to say that the proposed measure “prohibits citizens from voting unless they present government-issued identification.”
The suit alleges that the new language is inaccurate because the measure wouldn’t stop Californians from voting, just from having their vote counted.
California's High-Speed Rail Authority repeatedly missed key deadlines to buy its trains, a failure federal officials cited when they pulled $4 billion in funding a year ago. More than a year and a half after the original deadline, the authority still cannot say when it expects to award the contract. The state says that the date remains "TBD." Gov. Gavin Newsom called the federal withdrawal of funding a "political stunt to punish California," and state Attorney General Rob Bonta promptly sued "to stop Trump's politically motivated attack on high-speed rail." Yet, less than six months later, California dropped the lawsuit. The rail authority offered no explanation, but said it hoped to work with the federal government some time in the future after deciding this administration "was not a reliable partner." However, a CBS California investigation found it was the California High-Speed Rail Authority that repeatedly failed to meet its own deadlines to buy the trains — a key requirement in the federal grant agreement — then quietly dropped its lawsuit weeks after missing the new deadline it promised a federal judge it would meet.

And so what are doing about it?
What does he have to do with it? Aside from being correct that the whole thing is a stunt to attack the state and waste our tax dollars, something you usually claim to oppose when it isn't your orange god doing it?
Alabama circa 1965?So, Swiz. What US states do you actually like? Which states do you feel are run well, and what do you like about them?

I think TEXAS.
They have a venerable tradition since the 1820s, of holding the line against conferring rights to non-whites. Last to get rid of slavery, first to honor the heroism of whites fighting to preserve their supremacy … what more could a Trump loving immigrant want?

I would think by and large we are talking about brodozers rolling M/T or aggressive A/T tires on the street or tuner cars with soft compound racing tires. Both of which suck on wet roads.
Or are you now advocating for tuner cars doing donuts in the intersections?
