Maybe not. After all Rep. Chaffetz has stated he will investigate the wiretaps by Obama.

While Trump was able to come back from poor performances in debates and in public during the election, he was running against a person who had been the target of relentless right-wing propaganda since '93. Now, he isn't running, he is in charge and it'll be harder to make up for his implosions.

I fear one of his implosions could get a lot of people killed unfortunately.

Agreed. And this is due to the system. If we had the house, we could have endless debates and investigations into this. We could Benghazi the shit out of it. It would be the number one story until the next election. Instead, because of the shitty US system, we don't have a way to investigate this. Sad.

Plus the fact that Trump is apparently completely unaware that - as President - he has an entire intelligence apparatus working to provide him with information. His security clearance is essentially "all of it," and could very easily verify whether or not a wiretap happened.
