Just got home from a 8,800-mile coast to coast and back to center (USA) camping trip - lots of memories!



One of my favorite camping spots in the world, Jumbo Rocks campground at Joshua Tree national park in California


Mount Whitney, Ca (High point of continguous US) I climbed that!


Death Valley, low point of western hemisphere, gorgeous colors!

Cape Cod


New Bedford, MA


Mississippi River


Missouri Lakes


Oklahoma Mesas


Colorado High Plains (recovered from dust bowl)

Couldn't do much because cameras are not allowed in the pyramids. Not very good, but still took a few shots with the phone camera. The lighting in the Kings chamber was too low and the phone flash too weak for photos. I have some film photos from other trips but haven't digitized them yet.

This is the first small ascending passage, no head room, you bend over nearly double to get to the Grand Gallery.

Actually the weather we had in the UK was brilliant most of the time. We only had a rainy day in York, which worked in our favour as we had to take refuge in the pub which was the house where Guy Fawkes was born. The other day it rained was when we were leaving London, which was okay because we were driving. The rest of the month, it would drizzle, (or mizzle as was the case in Looe), that would stop when we wanted to get out to see something.
