What in the holy hell is going on in people's minds when they put together a box set like this?!

30 discs... $300. Okay, now you are thinking well... maybe... wait... did you say Union Tour? Union? The double Yes effort that turned to crap and only had a handful of decent tracks despite having almost every Yes member ever involved? The tour that followed that?!

Well okay, what do they give you?

6 concerts across 18 CDs, 4 more concerts across 8 CDS, and then 4 DVDs. That's right folks. Someone had a stroke and thought someone would be willing to $300 for DVDs of what was generally the same show... over... and over... and over! What do they think this is?! Oh, they do tell.

These will be included with the main program, as a way for the band to combat this highly bootlegged tour, where some fans are paying in excess of $70 per show from various Japanese websites.
Can you please point me in the direction of where I can save $230?

I've got to ponder if this is a tricky way to make the $120 they want you to spend for Rick Wakeman's "Deluxe" box set of Return to the Center of the Earth seem like a good deal... despite getting the one CD for the original album and a 2-CD live version of the Montreal show that was live, and supposedly really good. I've been wanting to hear that, but $120 for one CD I already have and a live show? No fucking way!

Know what I'd pay money for? A remastered blu-ray of ABWH... with or without Levin on bass. I'd pay $50 for that. Wouldn't pay $500 though for a 50 CD/DVD set of the same show over and over again.

Box Sets and re-releases have gotten out of hand, but this is the first time I've seen Yes going this far overboard.

It does seem that releasing DVDs that are basically reruns is overly optimistic, considering how easy it is to pirate the music and high prices only makes that option more appealing.
