Table of empires

Nice map. It shows quite clearly the natural barriers between Sumer and China.

I love how "HAM" is written in huge, and "India" is tiny. Too bad there's not a corresponding amount of evidence of their existence.

This is yet more evidence of the extreme tunnel vision of monotheistic cultists. Countries not mentioned in their texts are simply ignored, despite their being larger, more advanced, and infinitely more interesting than whatever goings on were recorded in the folk tales of middle eastern rustics. By omitting these cultures from their narratives, it becomes impossible to form a coherent world view, as we have seen here.

I could go further on the strange cultural obsessions that this map displays, for example I find it quite curious that the Basques are shown so prominently, and whatever the hell, "Lud" may be, but to do so would dignify this nonsense far more than it deserves. Photoshopping some names on a map is not evidence. Until you manage to show some I really don't need to do anything more than continue to point out your omissions and laugh.

Ham Shem and Japhet are in large letters because they head the list in Gen 10. I thought that was obvious.

And Lud is unknown.

And I am not trying to prove anything to anybody nor do I have to.

Even if you're not trying to prove anything, you are trying to show a relationship (or at least a correlation) between what's written in Genesis and what actually happened. That relationship just isn't there.

Wait...what....WTF...this isn't a 'Only Give Wrong Answers' thread?

I noticed that you changed your map. Lud is no longer there. Now, if Lud is unknown, why was it on the map? Is that why you changed your map?

Lud was afraid of the printing press. That’s why the Luddites can’t show up.

In post 62, you said it is unknown, and now you say it is Chaldea.

Just like you change the map when it suits you.

This is why I say you are obviously making it up as you go.

Well, you do have to give him credit for changing what his position is when information is given that contradicts that position. Sure, it would be nice if he changed it into something less nonsensical than the original position, but at least he's willing to reevaluate.

True. True. Points for correcting due to new information.

He is handicapped, however, by using a book that does not allow corrections. Many an atheist passed that rubicon from belief when they realized they could never correct the book, and it was wrong, so they had to drop it.

As I’m reading this thread I see the unexpected order of taking the least reliable data source as the goal, and trying to adjust more reliable data to “prove” it.

Wouldn’t it make better sense to study actual migration based in laguage and genes, to determine what happened?

Spoiler: it doesn’t match the Torah at all. As one would expect about a text that was extremely parochial.

Yes, key term is "new information." I haven't seen ANY information.

I'd rather he explained his thought processes using wrong information. That could lead to a discussion. Instead, he puts wrong information on a map and declares it right.

Also: I find it odd. The children of Noah's descendants went their separate ways? So, in other words, in the wake of loss but all of three breeding couples in the world, they elected not to match cousin with cousin, but only brother with sister? I really think this racial theory breaks down in more than just one way if you think about it.

I've pointed out in other threads, that if Noah's ark had ever happened, it could be proven by counting chromosomes. (1 Y for every male, choice of 8 Xs, and three mitochondrial lines). Genetics truly is the achilles heel of religion.

Also, the Tigris/Euphrates Delta didn't extend as far in those days. Adam would have been in the Persian Gulf 7000 years ago or whenever.

In fact, why are so many people in the water on this map? And why is Noah in Djibuti? Where does that come from? Is this some kind of pin the tail on the donkey game?

There was something really dumb I missed the first time on that other dumb map. (post 60)

The caption reads "Red X is Garden of Aden (sic)" And guess where the red x was on the map? The port city of Aden.

Are you sure these aren't parody maps, meant to fool ignorant saps while the makers of the maps chortle at you? Do you know that Eden and Aden are supposedly quite different places? I have never, ever heard before anyone thought they were the same thing.

Of course he knows. Everyone knows it is East of Eden :D

Instead, only try to realize the truth...there was no Noachian Flood. Ergo, who was Noah?

Noah is a form of the name Khan-ach (Cain-brother). It may have been a title like Caesar.

Or it may have been a story that Jews copied from the Babylonians, who copied the story from someone else. Here's the thing, we have evidence supporting what I said, whereas at best you have what's called an ad hoc fallacy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-so_story

You're not going to be able to cite original, credible, peer-reviewed academic sources for your claim. Geology was founded by a group of creationists who wanted to prove that Noah's flood was real. Thankfully, they were much more honest than modern Christians.

That'w why when asked for proof you offered a picture.

What do you mean when I was asked for proof I presented a picture? I presented a picture because I just now created it. And wanted to show it to others. I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm not on trial here. And you are not judge jury and executioner no matter how much you think you are

Here is another image that I just now created
