David Miscavige, "The Brain" of the Church of Scientology and all its bits and pieces and front groups, is the world's only  Operating_Thetan.

His OT superpower is avoiding accountability. He managed to get a ruling that he doesn't have to be deposed in the Rathbun harassment case. This happened a couple of months ago, but I was waiting to see if any more information or drama ensued before posting.

On a lighter destructive cult note: I found this gem at the examiner.

Desperate for new members, celebrities Cruise and Travolta has not helped expand Scientology so the cult is now focusing on people that look normal.

People who look normal being the least of their worries. What they are actually looking for is extreme naivety.

Naivete and influence. That's the hard part. Anyone with the level of influence the cult really wants has most likely already heard of scientology and so wouldn't be so interested. They're working on less developed nations now. Sufficient pockets of ignorance are getting hard for the cult to find these days.

This will be an ongoing case, but the reason Rathburn failed, like his other suits is they lack merit. Not only did he fail to provide evidence Miscaviage had ‘superior knowledge’ of the events (hence likely to be involved) but he has failed to provide any knowledge is known.
The Examiner article contains asininities in reporting the Tom Cruise US$50M law suit. In fact the media company stated it “never intended to communicate that Tom Cruise had cut off all ties and abandoned his daughter, Suri, and regrets if anyone drew that inference from anything they published.”
Further, since we all look difference, I doubt if you are clear in what you mean by 'normal' and not normal.

I don't actually care about who wins what in the never ending story of cult using the legal system to harass critics and apostates. At least not the details of ongoing pissing contests the cult insists on pursuing. I always hold a general, default hope of any non-cult entity beating the shit out of the cult legally, even if the judgment was questionable. Not fair? I'm only treating the cult according to its own rules.

I agree about the examiner. I didn't post it as evidence of anything or even as validation of my own opinions. I posted it because even in it's stupidity and uselessness, it's still hilarious.

You are free to support who you want but why do you post something you don't agree with?

It's FUNNY. It's only important to you and your fellow believers that some nobody rag made fun of your cult.

I keep forgetting cult indoctrination obliterates the sense of humor.

As I mentioned, the source you used to support your case was inaccurate which you concurred. I have no issues with the magazine's right of publication.
What the article lacks in factual and intellectual worth is more than compensated with the quality to titillate some.

I see you are deeply disturbed by this. What are you feeling right now? Want to talk about it?

Umm... this may, hehe, will come off the wrong way, but don't you think you should tell whichphilosophy how they should feel instead of asking them how they feel?

Sure, if I was his cult handler. But I'm just a humble wog. I care about feelings and stuff.

You have already agreed that the source you quoted was not evidence based, so hardly anything to get excited about.

Still humorous though.

I agree. Who cares? Thank you for that validation. Now you can stop caring about it. lol

You're welcome. You therefore agree that your conclusion did not follow the premise.

What we need here is an e-meter. There's evidenced based medicine right there.

If you want humor Hylidae, I live in Clearwater. Let me know when you're in the area, we'll go downtown and watch the Scientologists scurry around the few blocks they own, all dressed alike and scared as hell to talk to anyone. The " company church has a lot less influence and power than they used to, and people really aren't afraid of them anymore. Hell, I'm still surprised they get any new converts. The Thinking Atheist did a show on them last week that was fun and informative.

Your generalization is nothing to do with point expressed where the conclusion does not follow the premise.

What fucking conclusion? I didn't make one. You need to demand your money and sense of humor back from the cult.

Looks like toothless OSA is now resorting to just trolling and not much else.

Speaking of Clearwater, I'm fairly certain the other outfit based in that town has more influence than Scientology.

Plus the waitresses are better looking.

Maybe Miscavige should wear orange shorts and serve chicken wings?
