Oregon Earthquakes.

I saw an article on this and they cited a scientist that shrugged it off, saying this wasn't unusual at all. And based on the type of quake they were, tsunamis were not a threat.
No, I did not feel anything.
That's what she said...

...

...wait a second! She didn't say that at all. She said something completely different!

Swarms happen all the time out in the ocean and on land in the PNW. Swarms and mild shakes usually get a short mention in the news if at all.

I have experienced 4 quakes since the 80s. The Nisquly quake shook enough for us to evacuate and that was hundreds of miles from the epicenter.

In one my car started swaying back and forth, in another I was on a boat and it started rocking.

I was living in Portland during St Helens. A quake felt in Portland sounded like bowling balls rolling on the floor above me.

The Cascadia fault is the killer. Coastal towns have early warning systems and some built platforms to escape tsunami flooding.

For a local quake 5 is a pretty good shake up. 3 is felt and can knock some things around in the house.

The USGS has online real time reporting of quakes.

There is a midwest fault that had a big event in the 1800s, changed the course of the Mississippi.
