Notorious RBG Has Fallen and Injured Herself

She should have retired in 09 when the Dems controlled the Senate & the White House. 2 other justices that needed to retire did so, John Paul Stevens & David Souter. If you're a liberal justice in your 80s, or with health issues, and the Dems control the W.H. and the Senate, it's time for you to retire. Better you be replaced by a Dem than you die in office and potentially have Republicans in charge of the W.H., the Senate, or both.

What health issues does the Notorious RBG have, aside from her age?
Were those issues present 10 years ago?

Derec beat me to it. Cancer. Old justices need to strategically retire so that the other party doesn't get to seat their replacements.

She apparently sustained the injury by "falling in her office at the Court." Not a good sign. Who gets injured by falling in their office? Someone frail or who has some other health issues. Is this an indicator of health decline?

Apparently she had colon cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009. So I guess Terrell is right. Despite being only 76, she has had some serious medical issues that would have recommended retirement at that time.

And yet, she's been tough enough to beat her cancer and to continue in her very demanding career, at an extremely high level of competence.

May she have many more good years!

COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 15, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – The Ohio House of Representatives voted Wednesday to pass legislation that would ban the vast majority of abortions upon detection of a fetal heartbeat.

"House Bill 258 would ban committing an abortion on any preborn baby with a detectable heartbeat, except in cases of a “substantial and irreversible” physical threat to the mother.

The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld Roe v. Wade since 1973 and has not yet upheld any pre-viability abortion bans, but heartbeat supporters argue that President Donald Trump’s nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to replace the pro-abortion Justice Anthony Kennedy has shifted the court’s ideological balance..."
