I’m not sure that Junior’s presence in the race doesn’t harm Trump more than Biden.

Probably offer an ambassadorship if he will drop out and say nice things about The Felon.
 
Going by the polls if RFK is trying to syphon off votes from Biden, he's doing a pretty shit job. It looks as though he's doing that to Trump instead.
 
Not much about RFK on the Board. I had to bump this thread after 2½ months to mention that RFK, Jr. dropped out and endorsed the Orange Monster.

This confirms the views expressed in the thread. It turned out the RFK candidacy was helping Harris, so he showed his true colors, dropped out, and endorsed the felon, the malignant narcissist.

Why? Are his father and two uncles -- iconic heroes of the Democratic Party -- turning in their graves? Is this one of those generation-skipping things? RFK, Jr's grandfather, Joe Kennedy, was a notorious bootlegger and criminal stock manipulator. President FDR hated this criminal but cunningly appointed him to high office:

When are the Ds going to play hardball? No Biden is running for office yet we'll hear inane rants about porn on Hunter's laptop. Why aren't we talking about, for example, the billion-dollar payoff Jared Kushner got from the Saudi regime? (Is it that it would be too hard to explain, especially with the pretense that the bribe was an "investment"?)

He got that Saudi money while they were sitting on a pile of stolen top secret documents at Mar A Lago. I don't understand why that isn't bigger news.

Brain worm? That's only the start of it. The New Yorker ran a profile of RFK Jr. a few weeks back. It had the dead bear story -- I don't think it had the reeking, decaying whale head story. It talked about Kennedy's long history of drug addiction and sex addiction. And of course the shrill anti-vaccine side to his thinking.
I was amazed -- chagrined, really -- to find out that his current wife is Cheryl Hines, yes, Cheryl of Curb, who spent the series trying to get Larry to adjust his batshit crazy obsessions. "Do you respect wood?" is now supplanted by "Do you know that vaccine laws are worse than what the Nazis did?"
Somewhere, deep in the annals of hell, there's a five or ten hour seminar chaired by Biden and Kennedy, where each one gets a half hour at a clip to speak to the inhabitants of hell, Biden in his permanent stage whisper and Kennedy in his Kate Hepburn With Strep voice. Word is that it makes the Hellites extremely penitent.

Yup, funny how all these people who go "I'm not a conservative, I just believe in two or three popular alt right talking points" always end up as ride-or-die true Red Republicans within a year or two.
 
From reporting I heard Kennedy fist approached Harris offering support in exchange for a WH position, then went to Trump.

By not offering him a position in the Harris Administration in exchange for his endorsement. So he went to Trump, who will promise anyone anything if he thinks it will help keep him out of prison.

As pointed out above, RFK Jr is a nutcase. So even if he thinks he was stabbed in
the back by this rational refusal, it isn’t actually backstabbing.

You don’t think so, I don’t think so, but ask the wormbrain. He’ll tell you. Backstabbing is a metaphor, a florid linguistic device, and as such may be employed as the user wishes. It’s not a literal label like “worm brain”.
