At home, when I am not at work.
Basic Beliefs
On my journey :D
Bilby and I are all checked in at the airport and are firmly ensconced in the SilverKris Business class lounge enjoying a beverage or three and some delectable nibbles!

Bilby is enjoying one of his favourite bought beers, and I am enjoying a lovely glass of bubbles!

As Bilby just stated while I am typing this : ‘It’s definitely a civilised way to travel!’ I agree!

We shall share pictures and stories as we go!

Sweet! When you have to fly that far - the comforts mean a lot.

It’s currently 2pm at home, and 4 am at our destination. I have slept as the Singapore Air business class bed is spacious and comfortable. Sleep was fitful, but I did get some! So did Bilby, who rarely sleeps on planes.

We are currently enjoying complementary wifi to check on things!

You can say that again ;)

I slept very well (though it took a while to drop off, as my brain thought it was 10am).

Being able to lie flat makes all the difference.

It’s now 6:19 am on Monday in London. We have been here for about 22 hours and we have slept half of that!

The transition has been made easier by being able to sleep!

The following are from the plane:

Well, duh! You guys live upside-down, when you get to the proper part of the world we can even see that!

Sorry for lack of photos thus far, however, it hasn’t exactly been white yet!

Today we ventured to the Victoria and Albert Museum and then on to Harrods.

I love the colours of the leaves, and the bare trees especially as we don’t get the same level of seasonal change at home!

Yesterday we came close to seeing white stuff! We saw frost on the ground and a duck standing on a pond!

Well, I did see white stuff today--just many miles away. The peak of an 11,000' mountain was able to peek through the closer mountains.

Mother nature doesn't know how to do it right. We woke up to rain, not snow!

We still have the remnants of the last snow on the ground with possibly a blizzard heading our way, but the bulk is supposed to be a bit north and west of us.

I'll let you know if we have some to spare when it's all over!

Otherwise, I heartily recommend the upper Mid-west in the USA if you are hankering for some snow in say: January-April.
