Bleach is ignorant of both US and International law.

It is unconstitutional to detain people whose asylum status is TBD. Period.
Further, asylum seekers who are released and given a court date, show up in court at a 99.7% rate. And if/when they are granted immigrant status, they become part of a group that is far less likely to commit crimes than any random "American" individual.
