George Zimmerman Arrested On Domestic Violence And Weapons Charge

She thought the wet grass sounds might have been sounds of running feet moving through the wet grass, not Martin and Zimmerman hitting the ground. The "get off, get off" sounds were faint, as though from a distance.

There was contention on whether she first said she didn't know who said get off get, but that's minor. On the stand she said she thought Z might have hitten M first, but didn't know. On her interviews after the trial she said she believed that Martin hit Z first because she thought like some people that maybe Z tried to detain him. She didn't know. From the place of the two exchanging words to them fighting she could only guess what happened.

Yes, she said she didn't know who struck first. She said she believed Martin was trying to run away again when the phone dropped and she heard the wet grass sounds, and that Martin was shouting "get off, get off" because Zimmerman had grabbed him, but she couldn't say exactly what happened because she could only hear them, not see them.

She was asked what she meant by wet grass and she said two people rolling around in the grass. So we have rolling around in the grass, which is consistent with Z's testimony followed by get off which she originally said it might have been Martin but she didn't know. And then on her interviews she said that Martin most likely threw the first punch, different than what she said on the stand.

The first sounds like one of West's attempts to obfuscate and confuse. He kept jerking the narrative this way and that, trying to trick Jeantel into a contradiction. He never actually succeeded but he did muddy the waters a bit.

The second sounds like a rehash of Derec's misrepresentations about what Jeantel said to Piers Morgan. I hoped by now that issue would have been cleared up, but apparently not. Jeantel told Morgan she objected to the Prosecution's use of the term bashing to describe Martin hitting Zimmerman, because to her the term bashing means attacking, which Martin didn't do. She used the term whoop ass, meaning a vigorous defense, to describe what she believes Martin would have done when he was attacked by Zimmerman. She never said Martin likely threw the first punch. That's just wishful thinking on the part of Zimmerman defenders looking for any possible way to blame the victim.

Not to mention a willful attempt to ignore the context of the speaker and how that context modifies the meaning of what she said from the context of standard English. You might as well be taking words from the ACA without respect to the full text; it's just as honest... Oh, wait, they do that too.

It's too late for me to make a correction in my post so I'm adding it here.

Correction: Jeantel objected to the Defense team using of the term bashing to describe Martin's actions. To her, bashing means attacking, something she has always insisted Martin didn't do.

Patriot Zimmerman brought the gun.

Patriot Zimmerman was the one who defended himself legally under Stand Your Ground because he was the one with the gun and he was not the one who was black.

The black person died, and therefore was in the wrong.

Patriot Zimmerman shot Martin.

Does that about answer your questions? The fact that you even asked these questions proves that you are part of the PC Police and guilty of persecuting white people/gun owners/rightists/murderers. Why do you hate our freedoms?

For the part about wet grass..she was asked about it by west and she had a hard time answering it and said its like "wet, or people rolling around in grass" she could have given your answer of I heard shoes moving in wet grass"

For the second part. It was from an interview with Marc Lamont Hill. She was asked, what do you believe happened. She said I think Martin hit Z first but after what I think might have been Z trying to grab him. So she was speculating the same way we were. It's about 10 minutes into this clip

It's not blaming the victim, it's a we don't know what happened when the two people met.

Three questions are easy to answer, the last two questions are the debate.

Show me a definition of "whoop ass" that implies that it is used solely or primarily for defensive purposes.
If you look at the video, Piers, rather than Precious, is the only one mentioning "defense". Or course, Piers was horribly biased throughout this case, so we know why he used that word.

I think Jeantel's testimony made it pretty clear Zimmerman DID attack TM first.
First of all, she was not there and thus didn't see anything. Second, she is not a disinterested witness given her relationship with Trayvon.
That the prosecution thought she was a star witness, quite apart from her other problems, just shows how weak the case was from the beginning.

In that clip, West asked her to describe what wet grass sounds like. She says "wet, leaf, rolling all over, I don't know..." She doesn't say anything about the fight.

So she thinks Zimmerman grabbed Martin, or at least tired to, which means she thinks Zimmerman was the one who turned the verbal confrontation into a physical fight and Martin was defending himself. That is consistent with her testimony and all her statements since the trial.

It's her thinking, which is the same thinking that people on here who think Zimmerman tried to grab him. In that one interview she thought he would say something like I'm going to hold you. All she heard was get off after they were on the ground fighting and she couldn't tell originally who it was. So she was in the same boat we are, speculating on what happened after the two met.
