Brunch! Cinnamon swirl cube french toast, potato/havarti/spinnach/carrot/tomato fritata, sweet potato latke, croissant. Fruit salad as well.
That looks good. I wish I wasn't so lazy when it came to preparing food.
I'm having another go at oatmeal. Even boiling the eggs for 7m30s is a chore for me.
And a little maple syrup.

Speaking of maple syrup, I came up with this one Friday night:

Genius.

I'm guessing it wouldn't make it any better if I told you they are caramel corn flavor. :)
Nope!
And I suppose maple syrup also wouldn't? Kidding. I would never put maple syrup on fried grub puffs.
Nope! They key thing is GRUB!
I'm taking it you don't have this cookbook then?

Nope! Don’t want it! Nope!

Did I say nope! 😜

My favorite coffee.

I have been u using Pete's Coffee and I switched to good old Maxwell House. A lot cheaper.

Fresh coffee made with a French press.
Half coffee and half whole milk.
Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of vanilla.

Cowboy candy asparagus! OMG. I will do this again.
Took leftover jalapeno pickle juice and add more vinegar and asparagus.

Food Processors

For salads I have been buying shredded vegetable mixes and mixing it in a bag with leaf lettuce.

I’m look for a food predecessor that will shred vegetables like carrots, celery, and cabbage.

Any recommendations? Manual would be ok like a chap gadget

Any coffee purists?

I have been uising good old Maxwell House for some tine now. A whole lot cheaper than Starbucks.

Dunkin' Donuts brand has long scroed high on taste tests.

My name is Sophie and I'm a coffee addict.

Pair that with a coffee snob husband who keeps the house stocked with a burr grinder, scale, and four kinds of coffee makers (French press, espresso, pour over, percolator), and you know I'm the right woman for this taste test.

Every morning, barely conscious, I trot into the kitchen and make myself a cup of coffee. But of course I can't just enjoy a nice cup at the press of a button. No, thanks to the aforementioned coffee snob I must weigh my beans with a scale, grind them, boil water, and then wait a full four minutes before the first, eye-opening (literally) sip.

Obviously, you can imagine that the beans we have at home are not your regular supermarket coffee — they are exotic and expensive. But is that really necessary?

Determined to see whether cheap, store-bought, pre-ground coffee actually tastes all that different from the fancy beans our pantry is stocked with, I set out to taste test six of the most common coffees I could find at my local store.

Previous INSIDER taste tests have included everything from iced coffee and chocolate chip cookies to fried chicken.

The contenders. Sophie-Claire Hoeller

I bought all six coffees at a New York City Keyfood. They cost anywhere between $2.79 (Bustelo) and $10.99 (Starbucks).

The brands I tried included:

Folgers
Starbucks
Dunkin' Donuts
New England Coffee
Café Bustelo
Maxwell House

Canned ground coffee does not conjure up images of cups you can linger over, but Maxwell House is actually just that.

It tasted like... nothing? Hot water with a hint of java?

This might be the perfect coffee for the non coffee drinker, or beginners trying to get into coffee drinking. It was just so innocently inoffensive, sort of like the PBR of coffees. Coffee connoisseurs might scoff, but this cup is totally... fine. You could drink entire pots of it.

"Light and bright," it advertises, and it's not even overselling itself. When it comes to cheap coffee, the more innocuous the better.

So I made a bunch of deviled eggs today. They are great no carb snacks.

So I'm sprinkling onto them what I thought was paprika. It was cinnamon. I only got it on about a third of them when I realized my mistake.

They actually didn't taste bad. The wife said it added a little sweetness to them.

I mixed up cinnamon and cumin. I can’t remember what it was but it tasted bad.
I have little jars with labels on top now.

My new coffee blend.

I went from Starbucks to Pete's and to Maxwell House as costs for the two rose.

Now I mix the old standards Yuban original and Maxwell House wake up blend.

Maxwell House is on the strong side Yuban more mellow.

Depending on where I shop I get 27-28 oz cans for around $12-$14.
