If Trump is now favors of the bill that requests him to order the DOJ to release the files, he can simply get going and sign the order - no need to wait for Senate action.

That's what I was thinking. The only reason I can think of is that he wants Bondi to refuse due to "ongoing investigations" that Trump told her to do.

Clay Higgins's only purpose in life to prevent Mike Johnson being the stupidest Congressional Representative from Louisiana.

It puts Bondi is a strained situation. She is on record as saying the files do not contain incriminating evidence about anyone other than Epstein. This means she is complicit in a cover up of crimes committed by Democrats.
 
I'm betting these files will not come out anytime soon due to "investigations of Democrats".

And if they do come out they will be heavily redacted and edited..

It's actually in the text of the bill that no evidence pertaining to active investigations may be released...

It will be heavily redacted, based on "active investigations" of Democrats, some of which should be prosecuted heavily (maybe even the Clintons), and they will use the Democrats on it as a shield for Republicans.

It's right in the text of the bill...

You might be right. Here's what that moron said after hearing from conservatives that Haitians were eating cats and dogs:
