Circumcision technique issues

It should be called Paulism not Christianity.

Paul took the Jewish out of Jesus.

I expect Jesus kept kosher so to speak.

In the RCC church I went to as a kid there was a large bigger than life crucifix hanging over the alter.

A blue eyed, blonde haired, porcelain white skinned Jesus. I have heard Christina argue ancient Jews were blonde haired and blue eyed.

In the 60s in a black neighbors house I saw an image of a black Jesus, I was too young to understand the significance.

Back to Jesus as a Rorschach Test.

I wonder if Leaned us struggling with the realization that he is a gentile. Just like us artistes.

Which by the same logic as Ideologyhunter's that would mean: Jesus took the Israelites out of Jews born from Judah?

He kept them 100 %

Apparently he came because no one could keep them. As the story goes - people would be condemned by those laws. A savior would be appropiately in order here., I guess you know the rest from this point (assuming we read from the same page that particular part)..

I suppose its like when preachers in France shouts to the congregation :
Loué soit le Seigneur!

steve-b in unison with the congregation shouting out: Praise the Lord! (in alternative world where you have converted)

And Preachers in China shouts to their congregation the same phrase; 'Praise the Lord' in Chinese!

It doesn't matter what skin tone Jesus is portrayed as being, really.

Wonder no more. I'm happy to go by the same terms to meet you with the same understanding. I am fine being classed a gentile.

Jesus was thoroughly Jewish. You apparently are not.
I see, by that train of thought, although trivial... I could call myself Jewish in terms of how Moses, Joshua, Saul and King David did.
Characters that both Christians and Jews hold dear to their faiths.
Yo0u are a real trip.

I have known a few self declared Jews.

You still have not answered the question of authenticity and veracity of the gospels. Until you answer tat everything else is just hot air,.

Learner by all accounts Jesus was Jew preacher to Jews, not the 'world'.

He reinforced Mosaic Law and the prophets.

As I like to say if you want to follow Jesus live by the customs of the Jews.

As I understand it to convert to Judaism you first have to show you live like a Jew for some perio0d. You have to go before a religious court.

Unlike Chrtianity where all you have to do is say you accept Jesus as your savior and you are a Christiana. Baptism is the common ritual but not required.

Here in Seattle Mount Zion Baptist has a baptismal pool. Full body immersion. Like Jesus being baptized by John The Baptist in the Jordan River.

PYo0ur sins are washed away and you are reborn into a new reality.

Born tribute the supernatural. It is psychology

That is why I ask you what is your experience as a Christian? Is it all just about debating the bible, or is it an all consuming joy like the Hank Williams link to I saw The Light??

If you are not energized and joyful from your faith you are really not getting it. If it is all about yourself you are not getting it.

If you are socializing with fellow believer and are a lone wolf you are not getting it. I herd it described as being part of a kind of collective, but maintaining your individuality. Maybe transcendence is the word.

oing on 15 years ago I got invited to a private Evangelical meeting. A loose group of about 20 people met for years met in a building on someone's property.

No leader, some were recorder elders. Kids were playing around. Musicians played and sang. People laid hands for hhealing. A woman had a vision and talked about it. When moved by the spirit the guy who invited me began reading form the bible and interpreting.

From what I see in the NT that was like what early Jesus followers were probably like.

I read Mother Teresa's book. She described the holy spirit as a tangible thing that can be passed person to person..

So Lerner, what is your Christian experience?
