Christie and the Cowbois

It just surprised me to see him at the games, but he may like the Boys. I have more than one team I support, until they play the Boys.

Actually, it seems likes are sort of a moving target. Christie has a signed picture of St Roger in his office and had a role in the Football Life of Staubach NFL documentary, however he never confessed to be a Cowbois slut, just a Staubach admirer.

My distaste for the Cowbois has mellowed over the years... same with New England - my nickname for them was "those of whom we do not speak."

This incident has given his political opponents millions of dollars worth of very effective attack ad material, in addition to publicizing his legal issues which seem to be flaring up again.

You never see a national politician do this.

It seems to me that Christie's political career involved him doing really well in the beginning but then just falling on his ass and screwing up when it began to matter. As such, I'd expect him to be cheering for Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

Why is it weird?

Jerry Jones does business with the state of NJ and one of his companies was chosen to win a lucrative contract from the Port Authority which Christie partially controls with Andrew Cuomo.

Do you have some evidence Christie is deeply involved in making this decision?

It's sounding, an awful-lot, like.....

"Romney and Christie became friends in the last cycle, but Romney nevertheless has dismissed his pal as a non-factor. Thanks to the 2012 veep vetting process, Romney became intimately familiar with some of the less publicized controversies from the New Jersey governor’s past, and believes that several of those flaps would mushroom so broadly that Christie soon would be eliminated from consideration by voters and donors."
