Had my first ever trip to Australia and was in Adelaide for a couple of weeks. What a fantastic place. I have never fancied going to Australia despite having family in Australia for years. Culturally it is still very British but also has a bit of diversity. Adelaide was calm, not like Los Angeles. The weather was fantastic but it is a bit windy. I had to laugh at the beach volleyball tournament that was taking place and the wind was very strong sending volleyballs all over the place. Saw quite a few koala bears in the wild and kangaroos too. Public transport was good. Plenty little ports roundabout to visit. Went to a winery which was excellent. And Australians seem very proud of their pies and so they should be, I had some great pies. Puts Greggs to shame. And what fantastic beers they have too., Coopers being one I enjoyed. Dan Murphy's even has drive through beer service!! Yeah, I would definitely go back.

I liked Adelaide, it's a nice small city, laid out as a big city. Relaxed atmosphere, similar to how Brisbane was two or three decades ago, before half of Sydney and three quarters of Melbourne moved here.

South Australia has a different feel from the other states, which the locals claim is because it is the only state not founded as a penal colony, but which probably owes more to the large proportion of German immigrants who settled in the state in the 1830s, who went on to plant vineyards that produce some of the best wine in the world.

You are welcome. We have some more Melburnians you are welcome to have. Free.

Adelaide is a nice relaxed place. Easy to get around. The worst part of Adelaide is the excretable pie floater.

If my wife and I had to move Adelaide would be almost first choice (Perth would be no. 1. except for the house prices)

See any drop bears? SA ones are quite placid actually. Must be the vineyards.
