Imagine a small town with 100 people and 100 pizzas.

Each person has $10, so there is a total of $1,000 chasing those 100 pizzas.

A pizza costs $10.

Now imagine the government suddenly gives everyone another $10.

There is now $2,000 in people's pockets, but there are still only 100 pizzas.

People feel richer. They go out and try to buy more pizza.

But the pizza shops can't magically produce twice as many pizzas overnight. So instead, something else happens:

The price of pizza doubles.

How many more pizzas do you think people get?

It's very important to understand what money is. Money is just the exchange. It's like lube in a machine. As long as there's some lube in the machine, it'll run just fine. Adding more lube will just make the machine oilier. It won't run faster. What really matters in the economy isn't money at all. Money is just a handy proxy to figure out how people value stuff. If there's a nuclear war and all govornments suddenly vanish. What would you prefer, a loaf of bread or a million dollars?
