Oh my fox news lord! Have you been to Portland? Don't believe everything that you hear. We're staying a few blocks away. To be honest, most of the time we hardly notice the protests. BTW: they seem to be dropping to intensity and size. But buddy, you need to toughen up.

BTW, like Harry, I live in the greater Portland metro area...12 miles from downtown proper. We are fine, and Portland is a nice city for a big city; sure it still has big city issues...

I think our country will be fine. We will slowly work out our problems and there will be change. Of course there will be statues and federal buildings left, and Mt Rushmore will be left alone.

Something else, civil war is very unlikely, regardless of the outcome of the election, but has zero chance of happening under Biden.

There will be statues left, but hopefully those statues that glorify confederate traitors will be removed from public squares and relegated to museums. Unfortunately, I have no doubt that we will see some new statues go up in red states. They will be statues of Donald Trump, and that is one of the most horrifying futures imaginable.

In regard to Mt. Rushmore, nothing is going to happen to it, unless Trump is re-elected. At that point, expect his face to appear there in place of Lincoln's, given that Trump has done more for black people.

Manufacturing is gone(largely), and that’s a good. The fewer people we need to make all the stuff, the better.

But Cointelpro wasn't about law enforcement. It was about suppressing dissent and maintaining the power hierarchy with right-wing propaganda.
