These adds are pointless. Trump will go on television and say the looser democrats are using those who sacrificed everything for this country as a political tool to attack us.

I would disagree. Even loosing 1-2% of regular Repugs will damage Clownstick's re-election chances. This Lincoln Project helps enable moderate Repugs to vote against Clownstick, or just not vote for anyone. Between these visible Repugs, and the retired generals, it is another slash at his re-election chances...

Yeah, sure, but......has anything Bonespurs said ever convinced anyone to change their mind? He keeps reinforcing his base, sure.
But his attempts to reach out fall flat, his lies obvious, and the few times he's stuck to someone else's script, and seemed "Presidential," he reverses himself within five tweets. Doubles down on the hate, victimizing, or nanecalling.
Anyone not persistently convinced of Trump's worth will not be swayed by the Trump's response to these ads. But the ads themselves might win converts. Or just offer excuses the disillusioned can grasp.

I have no idea if these ads will have any affect. It might convince some to not hold their nose, might convince some to grab idiot friends too to vote as well. I'm not really a fan of the ads, there are way over the top. One or two are cute, but after that, it gets old quickly, and certainly, is now the time for this or is this an attempt to drive Trump past a point of no return in the polls? Is there a threshold that if he hits it, he can't recover?

Trump has defied all known conventions. He'll have his supporters out in the street burning crosses, not because they want to but because Trump wants them to. Dangerous times for democracy.

I'm in touch with the Lincoln Project about helping them out... not sure how much I can contribute to their content creation process but I'm willing to try!
They're doing a mighty fine job without me...
