First they came for the anti-fascists

noun
noun: Nazi; plural noun: Nazis
1.
HISTORICAL
a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.
DEROGATORY
a person with extreme racist or authoritarian views.
a person who seeks to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way.
"I learned to be more open and not such a Nazi in the studio"

If we are not sticking to the Historical definition and are including the Derogatory definitions listed there, then Feminazis and Grammar Nazis are actual Nazis. Should we be punching them?

How would you go about preventing your nation from becoming a fascist hellhole, before it's too late to do anything about it?

By ensuring freedom of speech is protected. By clamping down on money in politics and corruption in politics. By not advocating for vigilante or mob violence. By refraining from and calling out the dehumanization of others (be it sexist, racist, or calling people "nazis" who aren't and then saying its ok to assault them). By making attempts to depolarize rather than further polarize the nation.
Moore-Coulter.

You can burn your house down with a match or with a flamethrower. Either way you are burning down your house.

So, in right-wing world we can no longer call white supremacists nazis, just like we can no longer call modern concentration camps by that name because it can only be used to refer to actual Nazi death camps. Yet I am constantly reminded by right-wingers that political correctness is a terrible evil foisted upon the body politic by the left-wing. Something just doesn't add up here...

ZiprHead's point was that dismal cut the definition short, not that metaphorical allusions to nazis, such as soup nazis are valid. So, for example, there is another post which also illustrates the same point that does not contain soup nazis and grammar nazis:
I suspect you searched long and hard for a dictionary to match your pitch, or you just cherry picked the definitions you liked.

Here's from the Oxford Dictionary.:

I make it a point not to argue semantics with people who make up their own definitions of words. It's not productive (as the dictionary defines "productive").

You are also constantly reminded of death panels and death camps and Stalinists every time there is a Democratic President, even though all those things are imagined. Meanwhile, we have actual Nazis who took part in things in Charlottesville, planned to murder people, and did so.

So, what's the answer???

Well, it's make a law declaring Antifa terrorists, of course!!

We have a President tearing down every sacred wall that has helped our nation and democracy survive, violating the trust of our allies, pal'ing with despots, incapable of condemning far right-wing demonstrations... and our Progressive king here wants us to be worried about Antifa... and the violence posters here are inciting.

"Quit fighting back, all I want to do is subjugate you for my own benefit."

The Proud Boys accused of making armed ‘house calls’ to threaten private citizens

Residents in a Philadelphia neighborhood are accusing the far-right, neo-fascist organization the Proud Boys of making armed “house calls” to harass and threaten private citizens.

At the center of the reported house calls is community organizer Gwen Snyder, who according to her Patreon page, researches and writes about “radical white supremacy, corporate greed, and other pressing justice issues.”

Due to the work she does, Snyder has been on the receiving end of threatening behavior for months, but things appear to have escalated over the weekend of July 1 when she and others detailed late-night visits from armed Proud Boys members, numbering up to a dozen.

“This horror show just gets more and more surreal,” Synder tweeted. “There are now two Philly residents, myself included, who received terroristic late-night visits from a crowd of gun-toting Proud Boys, and a third being threatened. They fucking flew Proud Boys in from across the country for this.”

Hmmm, the US government should really do something about this Gwen Snyder person, she sounds like a domestic terrorist

I'm not well read on this. Are you talking about the guy in the car that ran over Heyer? I don't think that was orchastrated.

Or are you talking about a bunch of white power skinheads who plannet, trapped and killed other victims?

Wow, and yet, there are people in the forum who are okay with antifa being labeled terrorists and completely silent on Nazis!

You're right. You are not well read on it.

Even so, you could address the post's main points.

Sorry for the big image, but it's required reading for this topic

Has it occurred to you that we can be concerned about both, and that these two feed into each other? Every time Antifa does something stupid and violent, Trump gains more power. Only a calm measured rational and peaceful voice can defeat him. Cries for violence from the left will only escalate and elevate Trump. Williamson (and maybe Jesus?) were right about this. Love, not hate, is what defeats hate.

Nathan Bedford Forrest

Nathan Bedford Forrest (July 13, 1821 – October 29, 1877) was a Confederate Army general during the American Civil War. Although scholars admire Forrest as a military strategist, he has remained a highly controversial figure in Southern racial history, especially for his alleged role in the massacre of black soldiers at Fort Pillow, his 1867–1869 leadership of the white-supremacist/terrorist Ku Klux Klan, and his political influence as a Tennessee delegate at the 1868 Democratic National Convention.

This shit is at the level of an entire state government openly celebrating white supremacy. There is nothing to love here and no way to calmly reason your way around this. People who want to remove nonwhites from society are part of our ruling class and they're counting on people like JP to relentlessly apologize, equivocate, and downplay the threat they represent. They don't need to count on a complacent government or law enforcement apparatus; that's been in place for years.

Italy Police Seize Missile From Neo-Nazi Sympathizers

"Neo-Nazi Sympathizers"

During their raids, police discovered a French-made Matra air-to-air missile that appeared to have once belonged to the Qatar armed forces. Subsequent checks showed the weapon was in working condition but lacked an explosive charge.

Police said the suspects had tried to sell the missile in conversations with contacts on the WhatsApp messaging network.

Among other weapons uncovered were 26 guns, 20 bayonets, 306 gun parts, including silencers and rifle scopes, and more than 800 bullets of various calibers. The arms were primarily from Austria, Germany and the United States.

Police also seized Nazi memorabilia from the properties.

JUST CALL THEM NAZIS YOU FUCKING COWARDS

They have a goddamn swastika emblazoned on a Captain America shield, these are not "Neo-Nazi Sympathizers"

This screams a cartoon. Setting NASA building, large poster of meteor's position relative to the Earth.

Scientist 1: Am I the only one that has a problem with the font size in this diagram?
Scientist 2: We are dealing with the impending doom of this meteor striking Earth and you are complaining about font size?
Scientist 1: Can't we care about both?

Every time Antifa does something stupid and violent...
Who?
Trump gains more power.
Trump gains more powerful because the tidal wave he's been riding on continues to grow. He has normalized a standard of behavior through the method of inertia. The institutions in place to stop this have failed. From the Electoral College not doing their job to Mueller doing everything but blowing a bullhorn and telling Congress straight out to impeach for obstruction to the GOP controlled Senate not reining in any of Trump's actions from tariffs to palling with North Korea. This is what is galvanizing Trump's power and influence. Not whatever Antifa is doing, whatever it is.
Only a calm measured rational and peaceful voice can defeat him.
Well, seeing antifa really has no voice in American politics, that this anti-Democratic behavior of the GOP began before Trump was even the nominee... one needs to wonder if you have actually be paying attention.
Cries for violence from the left will only escalate and elevate Trump.
Cries for violence from the left are... what you say in Canada... "nearly nonexistent... eh".
Williamson (and maybe Jesus?) were right about this.
Who?
Love, not hate, is what defeats hate.
Yup... the love fest offensive caught the Germans by surprise in two World Wars.
