Personally, I have little use for philosophy that is contradicted by scientific observation, though I acknowledge that not everyone would or must agree with me on that point.
Well, Freud is a bit out-dated at this point... Are you really interested in knowing why?

Social science isn't science either. It's a misnomer. We call it a science because it uses a scientific approach, in the widest sense. But its still more philosophy than anything else. Same deal with the field of economics.
It's the activity of reasoning about how societies hang together. Macro-psychology. Psychology is also not a science.
So far the only person talking about Freud is you. So still not sure why you're hung up about Freud in this thread. If you want to discuss Freud, perhaps make your own thread?

In all seriousness, life sort of sucks for some of us on the bottom of the socioeconomic heap, especially considering the obvious corruption of those above us. I mean, they take advantage of a system in which speaking out is used as an excuse to push you further down.
So, therein lies the desire for death. It's a "get out from under the corrupt pieces of shit above us" desire. And libido is really nothing more than the desire to live life to it's fullest- to feel the most pleasure and joy. Libido overwhelms conscience in the rich.. constantly shown by their decisions day in day out to live the lives they lead.
Mortido and Libido can theoretically be satisfied at once, if you do enough drugs while watching really hot porn. But you probably will end up just satisfying your libido for a bit. And wanting to live more... until you once again realize that you exist as a slave to your overlords who do the exact same thing AND enjoy all the freedoms of corruption.
Anyway... this world sucks. I had someone promise me a gun and a bullet if I helped them with this one thing, and the piece of shit (a falsely poor guy, playing the game) didn't come through when I fulfilled my end of the bargain. Although they understandably, being corrupt, don't like the bargain they made (I only had to help them replace a car part... to gain my freedom from life, and they just need my help with that to make it look as if they were poor.. perhaps it was only to make them look poor that they wanted, and I was foolish enough to give them some help... and the poor are poisoned with rich plants).
Lose a slave, get in trouble with the other corrupt, to set free a slave? The corrupt will never do this. They will just bullshit us slaves more and more.
