Roseanne Reboot

huh, one redpill at a time Roseanne...

Yup - very drug induced mania....

Called that one right. She now says she was on Ambien at the time.:D

It's amazing how conservatives are all for personal responsibility until something affects them and then all of the responsibility suddenly becomes due to everything except them personally.

Also, I guess this means that she's been constantly on Ambien for the past decade or so.

Red pill is from The Matrix and then was used by pickup artists about how men and women really relate which you can see by taking the red pill. Finally taken up by 4channer and the like and even alt right people about racial differences and the control of the media by a certain group of people.

These outbursts are seen as red pill overdoses.

There are also blue pills which means that you are a sheep. White pill means optimistic information, black pill means pessimistic/realistic and so on.

Still drugs.

The makers of Ambien just tweeted "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

If she's smart, she'll team up with Mel Gibson, Michael Richards and Kathy Griffin for a cable sitcom -- may I suggest for a title, Dumbfuck Egypt? It'll be about a family of unemployed Appalachians who sit on their overhang porch and scream at people who drive around a razorback curve that their house is built on. Every so often a driver stops and there's a fight or a kegger. The Trump aura will be suggested by bumper stickers and MAGA hats.
Alternate titles: The Asshats/Asshole of the World/Mama Got Game/Meth Planet/Vapes & Bacon Fat

This will be hard to square for Trumpers. If they wish to have any consistency at least. Hard to say the NFL is right and ABC is wrong. Ironically, these were the same people clamoring for Kathy Griffin to go not so long ago.

Good thing I agree that ABC had every right to cancel her show because of her comments.

They do have the legal right, as does the NFL. I agree that some leftists don't grasp the parallel.
However, the stark difference that most right-wingers disguised as "libertarians" are blind to is that ABC was also morally right for not employing someone who loudly espouses racism, while the NFL is morally wrong for supporting the very same type of racists and white supremacy that is the obvious real motive for manufactured outrage over players taking a knee during the Anthem. The absurd nonsense that kneeling disrespects the flag or military doesn't fool anyone with more than 2 neurons to fire, who understand that the people upset enough about it to want these players punished are those who have no problem with cops murdering black people.

The NFL is not silencing free speech, they are doing something far worse.

Holy shit, that's real. That's a pretty awesome burn.

I also like Patton Oswalt's:

"We must build a world where everyone is treated with equal respect and opportunity, no matter their race, creed or sexual orientation.” — David Duke tweeting on Ambien"

Much of Applachia is dry....

Huh, the problem is not the racism exposed. It is the disinhibition and possible cognitive decline caused by these drugs that if it is the true (proximal as in putting Roseanne in a position where she did not look at it from the outside - not making her a careful circumspect racist) cause of these tweets that is very dangerous.

Somehow, I don't think "an illicit kegger" would be much of a stretch for that premise...

Although there is still drinking and binge drinking in Appalachia, they are actually less likely to drink, binge drink, and use illegal drugs than other parts of the country. Not surprisingly, they substitute alcohol with drugs they can get legally, and are more likely to abuse prescription drugs, like Ambien. Of course, the rampant racism (aka Trump support) in Appalachia is not caused by this prescription drug abuse but rather by being raised by racists in poverty and lack of education, and being targets of propaganda that scapegoats minorities as their cause of their economic woes.

Her racism is far more dangerous than a drug that makes her more likely to expose the depths of her racism to strangers. Her tweet is not some outlier comment but a wholly unsurprising part of a her well documented bigoted xenophobic worldview evidenced by hundreds of comments over years and by her voting behavior.

Breitbart and Fox News likely had more causal impact on the contents of her tweet than Ambien.

However, the stark difference that most right-wingers disguised as "libertarians"...

A disguise that only fool those who want to be fooled.

Correct. And the one's who want to be fooled and given deniability (however implausible) are corporate sponsors, backers, or sellers to white supremacist organizations with supremacist fanbases like the Fox News, Breitbart, the Trump Campaign, the GOP, NASCAR, the NFL, Duck Dynasty, Joe Rogan, etc.

It is not about actually fooling anyone but about putting enough lipstick on their racist pig selves so that their corporate sponsors can have an excuse to look the other way, and about their fanbases using the pseudo-libertarian rhetoric so they can wrap their bigotries in a veneer of patriotism which is pretty much the #1 use of patriotism.

You forgot CNN, MSNBC, the Democratic Party, etc. Sometimes it seems the only ones not in on the game are libertarians themselves.
