The only thing that Trump and the Republicans were able to do in their first year in complete control of the government was to fulfill their duty to their only valued constituents and pass a large tax cut for the wealthy, the permanent part of which goes 82% to the top 1%.

Virtually everything that they did exposed the lies that they told to the deluded. They didn't have any plan to replace ObamaCare that would result in better, cheaper care. They haven't been able to pass a budget well into the fiscal year. Everything that they have done and everything that they have proposed will increase the deficit, and their only answer is to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, proven electoral suicide. They are now trying to derail the investigation into the Trump campaign cooperating with the Russians to provide Trump with his narrow minority victory by attacking our premier intelligence, law enforcement and justice institutions. They have been unable to fill their government positions, which based on the quality of the people that have been put into the executive branch is apparently because they haven't found enough inept people to fill the positions. It is not that impressive that they claim that government doesn't work because they are incapable of making it work.

I'm sorry, but this reply has fuck all to do with my question. I'll put it another way: you assert firstly that Trump surprised everyone reading a prepared speech and not completely ballsing it up. That is not the case - everyone has seen this from him before and very few people are falling for it now. Then you mentioned how he overcame "Obama's empty promises". No he hasn't and what exactly has Trump accomplished done other than piss off the world, play golf and make sure his kids are gainfully employed? Why anyone would take Trump at his word is beyond me. The man's entire life history speaks against the idea. This is nothing more than bias. Trump has never cared about anyone but himself, and even a cursory look supports this, while an in depth search verifies it. Those that constantly vilified Obama's character while actually trying to hold up Fuck La' Orange as an example of fine humanity is a beacon of motivated reasoning and cognitive bias for all to see, point, and warn their children against.
