Well, she clearly deserves to be reduced to a mere professor. Considering the fact that she seems to fall nicely into profile of a careerist bitch that would be enough of a punishment for her. I knew professors who did not want to be a dean because it takes time from real work, but that was physics, an actual science, unlike social psychology at Yale.
And yes, social psychology professor yelping offensively is just weird, they have fucking journals for that.

The dean is an employee of the university. If the dean's free speech reflects badly on the university, they have the right to take action to mitigate that damage. Freedom isn't a one-way street.

The "ideal" of free speech is that the government won't punish you for the content of your speech. It is not that your fellow citizens can't choose to disassociate from you.
