US President 2016 - the Great Horse Race

It seems that HRC, and those of the left supporters have and will not accept defeat.
What's even funnier, though, is Trump's rally. He is still campaigning because that's more fun than leading. He will not accept victory!

He brings up the election result nearly every time he speaks. He answered a question about anti-semitism by talking about his electoral votes.

And when directly confronted with his lies in that press conference he merely said "well that was the information I was given". Reminds me of the Bush administration's "the President is not a fact-checker".

The real question should be "Who gave you that information?". Then find out if that person also gave the same information to Mike Pence and fire him for lying to the Vice President if he did.

Is it just me, or are all the other republican politicians being really quiet today?

To be fair, that's just because it's a long weekend. On February 17th, 1621, Myles Standish was appointed as the first commander of the English Plymouth Colony in North America and most congresspeople are home to celebrate the occasion with their families. You can't really fault them for that anymore than you can fault them for being similarly quiet on Monday because it's not appropriate for politicians to have unkind words for the President on the anniversary of the founding of the US Postal Service.

Or they're resting up for tomorrow's Great Campaign Rally in Melbourne FL, hoping to help their candidate get elec -
no, wait....

Today Trump told people in Melbourne that a terrorist attack took place in Stockholm.

He just made that up. The truth is that a mentally I'll man set himself on fire in the centre of Stockholm for mysterious reasons. But Trump could somehow read the man's mind.

Obamacare is a disaster, folks. It a disaster. I know you can say, oh, Obamacare. I mean, they fill up our alleys with people that you wonder how they get there, but they are not the Republican people that our representatives are representing...

The nice thing is, I see it starting to turn, where people are now looking at the illegal – I think it's very important – the illegal, giving out classified information. It was – and let me just tell you, it was given out like so much....

Yes, we're looking at [leaks] very, um, very, very serious. I've gone to all of the folks in charge of the various agencies and we're, um, I've actually called the Justice Department to look into the leaks. Those are criminal leaks. They're put out by people either in agencies. I think you'll see it stopping because now we have our people in. You know, again, we don't have our people in because we can't get them approved by the Senate.

I'd never thought I'd miss the eloquence and clever word play of George W. Bush.

God that man is embarrassing. Each time he tries to dig himself out of his hole it's just worse a worse

And it continues. That man just doesn't know when to quit

George W Bush wasn't a good speaker and didn't really know what he was up to, but generally, he didn't try to bullshit the entire world. Granted, W didn't have many press conferences either.

What makes the press conference even worse is that Trump is exposing all of his ignorance both on policy, his Admin's narratives, and how government works in general. He thinks he is fooling the press with these lies.

At this point, I'd say GW was worse than two Trumps.

Trump is an idiot, but he has done very little.

GW got hundreds of thousands of people killed over a hare brained idea.

The W Admin was deluded into thinking they had special powers and could achieve what others couldn't. But at least Rumsfeld and Cheney could point to Iraq on a map.

The Trump Admin are deluded and consist of a tiny group of people that are grossly unqualified to hold any positions of power and seem quite capable of trying initiate plans to deal with a world that doesn't even exist.

I think the Trump Admin is marginally worse because under W, the recent college graduates were put in charge of the CPA in Iraq.... the recent college graduates are in the White House making national policy!

Really, two different versions of a shit sandwich.
