March for women. A message from Conservatives

whichphilosophy, can you provide any examples of people participating in the women's march and not being able to say why?

Can you provide any examples of protesters saying the agenda of the march is to remove President Trump?

Removing Trump is a valid goal, and all the anti-Trump posters show that it was a goal of some.

True. If part of the reason some people marched was to express the view that we should impeach Trump because of his behavior toward women, what's the problem with that whichphilosophy?

If you want to remove Trump then do it the democratic way, ballot box.

Impeach Trump for what EXACTLY ?

Newsflash: most of the signs and sentiments at the march were NOT for removal or impeachment. It was to advocate that particular issues not be dismissed or catered to a minority. It was to show how many people feel about the executive and legislative actions about particular issues.

It was not to remove by undemocratic processes (even though those non-ballot-box methods are certainly part of our system, just like executive orders are) and it was not to remove by unAmerican processes, either.

Please keep up.

I'm waiting for someone to tell me on this forum without a vague speech.

If you marched, why would you march?

Some protesters have problems with the way Trump treats women and the policies he's likely to implement that affect women. A subset of those probably think he should be impeached for those or other reasons. Impeachment is a legal way of removing a president, and a president can be impeached for any reason whatsoever as long as it has enough support. Peacefully raising awareness of a multitude of issues that relate to women, including the possibility of the lawful removal of a president who some feel is a threat to women, is something Americans are entitled to do. Whichphilosophy seems to think that everybody who marched did it primarily to protest Trump's election, which they didn't. I was pointing out that, even if they did, that's still a perfectly legitimate reason to have a march. Just because Trump won the presidential election doesn't mean his presidency must be tolerated until the next election; if it did, then there would be no such thing as impeachment. The fact that the option exists shows our system of laws acknowledges the shortcomings of 'the democratic way'.

Don't turn this around. You repeatedly say that nobody who marched can explain why they marched. How many have you asked? Do you think there might be other reasons why people who participated in the women's march wouldn't want to talk with you about it? And don't forget the second question. I'll answer yours if you answer mine.

I believe that is the prime agenda of the organisers but perhaps camouflaging it with civil rights issues.

Has it occurred to you that the reason some of the protesters might want to remove Trump could have something to do with civil rights?

Is there anything specific that you would march for?

They are protesting about nothing in particular, nothing specific ? They just don't like him because he made some off color remarks a decade ago and erm, stuff. And this will serve to have him impeached ?! LOL, it's pathetic.

What is the problem with the way he treats women ? Specifically what policies are likely ?

The pussy grabbing occurred over decades, the most recent known of was in 2013.

You'd have to ask someone who marched. The point is that those are specific grievances, not 'nothing in particular', so you were wrong and you should change what you think so you're not wrong anymore, but you won't.

LOL, still running with that bullshit. Good for you, carry on.

They are not specific at all. Change my mind on what ? FFS, I ask for specifics and get nothing. If you don't know just say you don't know and be done. Don't flim flam.

If I had to guess I'd say that reversing Roe v. Wade is pretty high on the list of policies most women who marched would object to. Defunding Planned Parenthood is another. It's not hard to find these things out. You disagree with their cause and you want to make fun of them because that's what you like to do to people you disagree with. I get it. But don't pretend you have zero idea what these women care about and they could all just be simultaneously taking a stroll for all you know, with their wily and secretive ways. These are basic women's rights issues that have been in the public discourse for decades and are now coming to a head, because for the first time in a while, we have a president who is more likely than the last few guys to take away things a lot of women apparently think are important.
