Mary Tyler Moore Dead at Age 80

The one thing I like remember about her,was what a great dancer she was.Grace, beauty, and charm.

NPR did a great (albeit brief) remembrance of her today.

Not only was she a talented comedic actor, but a television producer and pioneer in changing the way women were portrayed on TV.

Her nain TV shows were a bit before my time, so the first time I heard that name was in ...

... and when I heard that Mary Tyler Moore died, this song came on in my brain. Talk about weird mental associations. Of course, Happy Days was a bit before my time too.

Just seems too young.
Well she did outlive Buddy Holly by a bit...

Grampa (last piece of the great generation) died while Trump was inaugurating. 97 years old. I should have left the television on the Daystar Religious channel because he liked the singing. The volume was down anyway, so it didn't really matter. Then my (estranged) little cousin overdosed on elephant tranquilizer - Carfentanil-cut heroin. Had to donate my family cemetery plot to his Mom, in exchange for his Ninja 750.

So two family members gone so far this year. Plus two friends and 4 associates have died from elephant tranquilizer in 2017. But things could continue at this rate all year, and 2017 still wouldn't be as bad as the latter half of 2016. 2020 will be here in the blink of an eye. Blink both, and keep them closed perhaps. May help with the wait.
