Did he just say he wants a theocracy?
Something about religious organizations and free speech?

And any other antics you notice, feel free to list them

How's he a friend of the LGBTQ community again?

So, normal politicians are often shysters and grifters and Trump is no exception. But he doesn't even have the guilt or shame to feel bad about it, and because of that have a few ideas and programs that will somewhat also help the flock they are helping big business and banks to fleece, like with Obama, Bush or Clinton.

Obama has been much to in the bank's pockets but has made some amends with things elsewhere. Trump would not give a fuck even to protect his ego since he a perfected god emperor :D

Can you imagine a nomination acceptance speech by a REAL excellent businessman, like Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, Nick Hanauer and so on? They would be full of sensible and positive plans. Trump had ZERO in that shit speech, because overpromising and running away from debts when your shit management fails is not way to build the skills of a Musk or Branson.

Felt that the first half of his speech was pretty good. Didn't go over the top and stayed on a simple message. But then he just seemed to dive into way too much hyperbole. "Law and Order" = "Put the blacks in their place". Also he was going to cut taxes, bring millions of jobs to the US, and create trillions in wealth.

The oddest moment was his hat tip to the LBGTQ community. I'm wondering if Trump was just seeing what the audience would and wouldn't applaud. "I love Obama!" *applause*

I was thinking this the whole time:

At this moment, I would like to thank the evangelical community who have been so good to me and so supportive. You have so much to contribute to our politics, yet our laws prevent you from speaking your minds from your own pulpits.

An amendment, pushed by Lyndon Johnson, many years ago, threatens religious institutions with a loss of their tax-exempt status if they openly advocate their political views.

I am going to work very hard to repeal that language and protect free speech for all Americans. We can accomplish these great things, and so much else – all we need to do is start believing in ourselves and in our country again. It is time to show the whole world that America Is Back – bigger, and better and stronger than ever before

Met too.

I also think of Yoda's Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering.

It's a combination of an appeal to their fear that their free speech rights are in danger, but just as importantly, it's an appeal to their greed. Both are in no danger whatsoever, but they somehow believe it is.

Fear and Greed, making American Great Again.

Trump is a warmonger who blows his dog whistle ALL THE TIME...EVERY WAKING SECOND. HOPE HE DOESN'T WIN AS MUCH AS I HOPE CROOKED HILLARY DOESN'T WIN.

Except that often, the cheering or the chanting was sparse and not including everyone. It was almost as if there may have been one thing that everyone had in common for supporting Trump, but only one.

Another election where the main focus will be on personality.

Oh Trump, what a jerk!!!!

Hillary, that flagrant email abuser!

Don't you worry, I have no problem in the penis department.

When I voted to allow GW to invade Iraq I never thought he would do it.

But no focus on the things that matter. Sure the campaigns have statements about this stuff, but the media has little interest.

What about relief from the corporate profit seeking health insurance industry?

What about relief from the profit seeking pharmaceutical industry?

What about relief from the rising costs of college?

What about some jobs? The government can put people to work if it chooses. Mass effort to not just fix infrastructure but to modernize it and make it the best in the world.

But from Trump we will hear "FEAR FEAR FEAR!!!! Don't worry, I will save you. Even if I am an elderly stooped fat man that can barely walk I will save you from the dangers I tell you about, non-stop".

That was almost certainly the bribe he used to get Pence as his running mate

well, since one of them has to win, your hoping and screaming won't amount to much

As far as infrastructure spending goes, Sanders introduced a $470 billion infrastructure bill that was deficit neutral that got blocked by republicans last year.

It's justified disgust with the choice we are given by a system thoroughly corrupted by money.

And probably the thing most corrupted is the media.
