Labour MP Jo Cox has been shot and killed in an attack in her constituency near Leeds today.

The 41-year-old mother of two was shot three times and attacked with a knife during the incident in Birstall, West Yorkshire, an eyewitness said.

Police have confirmed she has now died.

I'm beginning to think the world is falling apart. Enough with the killing!

I'm not convinced the term "hate speech" is applicable but the last part of your sentence is spot on. This incident has parallels with the recent Scottish independence referendum in the U.K. People are losing their fucking minds.

People keep thinking the world is burning. But this stuff is actually at its safest in a while. WWII the world went straight into hell.

People keep thinking the world is burning. But this stuff is actually at its safest in a while. WWII the world went straight into hell.

But still, this is awful!

What I am seeing, in both the US and the UK, is scarily close to civil war. I don't mean an actual civil war. It's more like certain people are willing to treat it like it's a civil war, even if it's not. Dialogue is breaking down, to the point of politicians being assassinated.

Now, we don't know a whole lot about this murderer yet, but I've seen some indications he was pro-Brexit. I guess we'll see how this pans out.

One assassinated MP doesn't make a Civil War. It is a tragedy, but we've seen much darker in our own nation.

I'm not really talking about one tragedy. I haven't been partaking in other threads here about Trump, the Orlando shooting, etc. This was just the final straw. I'm letting out some of my feelings here that have been building up. I didn't mean to say this one tragedy is THE thing that will doom us.
