The greatest oddity in all of this is that Trump is the closest to Clinton now. No other Republican candidate is closer to her. Fiorina apparently is just 10 points behind her now because.... ??? Clinton has a 9 pt lead on Bush and Walker. Trump appears to be galvanizing his candidacy. It appears that maybe he wasn't taken seriously, but now the toddler Republican base is all-in with Trump, the Independents are maybe not liking him more, but taking his candiancy more seriously and saying they'd go for him.
So it looks like Clinton's lead over Trump has narrowed to 6 points. Now 6 points in a Federal Election is actually a decent size win, but it is certainly not a comfortable lead. Yes, it is still 15 months off, but what this seems to tell me is that the right-wing is getting a little more comfortable with Trump. Clinton has likely suffered from more disclosures on the email situation.article said:Clinton now leads Trump by 51 percent to 45 percent, a dramatically more competitive race than July's 56-40 spread and June's 59-35, the poll results showed.
What the fuck is a Republican leaning independent? I view an independent has to be pretty far from a Republican, that leaning is impossible. And how can an Republican leaning independent be allured to Trump with statements about Megan Kelly's menstruation or nuking the Middle East. Everything about Trump is extreme, nothing moderate at all!article said:Trump registered gains among Republicans and Republican-leading (leaning?) independents, whose support surged from 67 percent in July to 79 percent now; men (from 46 percent in July to 53 percent now); and white voters (from 50 percent to 55 percent).
