Horns Up Heavy Metal fans?

Fuckin-A.
Max is immortal. Any Nailbomb fans?

Oh Yeah. Have you checked out Cavalera Conspiracy? Max and his brother from Sepultura got together and put out an album. It's been a few years ago since it's been released.

They are still going strong. Two albums out, and now working on a third.

That's right. I forgot about the second album. Might have to go find it and give it another go around.

Who's fronting Cannibal Corpse these days, Fischer or Corpse Grinder?

Is that a trick question?

Fisher is Corpsegrinder, and yeah, he is still fronting the band.

Ha, fuck. Yes. I meant Barnes but it's clear as vodka now.

I just listened to a couple of new albums by established power metal bands today, Plagues of Babylon by Iced Earth, and Delivering the Black by Primal Fear. Both are excellent albums, well worth the listen. If you were a bit disappointed with Iced Earth's previous album, like I was, they have definitely redeemed themselves here. Go check them out if you haven't already.

On it!

I think they're still good

Thought Fudgetunnel's influence was what gave Nailbomb such a nasty sound. I disliked everything Cavallera did since Schizophrenia
Couldn't resist, "Cockroaches" by Nailbomb, Max Cavalera fronting. One of my must have metal tracks on every playlist.

I'm not really into Flames either. There seems to be an overly melodic whining element in new metal. I see it emerge as friend's kids we tried to raise on Asphyx are now into bands like In Flames nad No More Black, and the such. I steal all of their music because they are youth and I want to understand the evolution of metal. I think the real shit is gone now. Becoming the Archetype was a band I was into recently, yet they got strange. Veal is another band I have been watching. Most real metal is coming from outside the united states now in my opinion. Most bands I like in the metal realm are Black metal bands. Azaghal is my current fav. I do like the punky, who gives a shit attitude in new metal/punk, but it isn't actual metal. Point Blank is pretty much a benchmark for all things heavy from that time period - just on production value alone. Everything Grey by Fudge Tunnel is absolutely amazing and inspired a lot of bands. Especially Helmet and of course Nailbomb. When Cavalera added the witchy effects to his vocals later in his career, he sounded less barbaric. I liked the primal feel he had before the production techniques changed in all metal. New amp modeling and easier recording made metal less intense.
