Ever wonder how we got here and where we’re going?

All I'm hearing is that "god is a consummate hack" if he doesn't know how to make a simulator he can fucking pause, and doesn't plan on what information they might need to credential themselves, and doesn't even have a debugger to work with.

The games I play are far simpler, for all they are hard to simulate with what we have to work with here. We understood these principles of debuggers and, metaphysics in general, long before we were ever capable of thinking about something this weird.
Go placidly my friend…

Maybe you do the going?

I let you know what you should have brought and you should have already encoded that I the avatar you instantiated: twelve words.

I have a different challenge for each one of you that appears.

Like, it would be one thing if someone claiming to be God coming through here actually was aware of philosophies and facts unknowable by mundane means or if they and actually understood how the world worked such that they would be able to explain or simplify the standard model, even?

But they don't even generally accept noncontradiction.
I’m not physically connected to all existence through DNA or quantum physics. Sorry to disappoint you.

My connection to God is metaphysical. He is the space and my life is his time.
And again nothing new.

It is all lumped under New Age. All the stuff that popped up starting in the 50s or 60s.

I'd say your journey has yet to start. You need to think critically about what you think in the context of all the other traditions from now back through history

Christians conveniently ignore history of cultures and beliefs. There are common forms to bneiefs, and variations in content. Your posts show a common form.

You say it metaphysical, yet claim you have cosmic consequences?

Personally I am one of many humans, I have no need to fell connected to a god. I am quite content with what and who I am as ordinary and common as that may be.

ps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Age

New Age is a range of spiritual or religious practices and beliefs that rapidly grew in Western society during the early 1970s. Its highly eclectic and unsystematic structure makes a precise definition difficult. Although many scholars consider it a religious movement, its adherents typically see it as spiritual or as a unification of mind, body, and spirit, and rarely use the term New Age themselves. Scholars often call it the New Age movement, although others contest this term and suggest it is better seen as a milieu or zeitgeist.

As a form of Western esotericism, the New Age drew heavily upon esoteric traditions such as the occultism of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, including the work of Emanuel Swedenborg and Franz Mesmer, as well as Spiritualism, New Thought, and Theosophy. More immediately, it arose from mid-20th-century influences such as the UFO religions of the 1950s, the counterculture of the 1960s, and the Human Potential Movement. Its exact origins remain contested, but it became a major movement in the 1970s, at which time it was centered largely in the United Kingdom. It expanded widely in the 1980s and 1990s, in particular in the United States. By the start of the 21st century, the term New Age was increasingly rejected within this milieu, with some scholars arguing that the New Age phenomenon had ended.

Despite its eclectic nature, the New Age has several main currents. Theologically, the New Age typically accepts a holistic form of divinity that pervades the universe, including human beings themselves, leading to a strong emphasis on the spiritual authority of the self. This is accompanied by a common belief in a variety of semi-divine non-human entities such as angels, with whom humans can communicate, particularly by channeling through a human intermediary. Typically viewing history as divided into spiritual ages, a common New Age belief posits a forgotten age of great technological advancement and spiritual wisdom that declined into periods of increasing violence and spiritual degeneracy, which will now be remedied by the emergence of an Age of Aquarius, from which the milieu gets its name. There is also a strong focus on healing, particularly using forms of alternative medicine, and an emphasis on unifying science with spirituality.

The dedication of New Agers varied considerably, from those who adopted a number of New Age ideas and practices to those who fully embraced and dedicated their lives to it. The New Age has generated criticism from Christians as well as modern Pagan and Indigenous communities. From the 1990s onward, the New Age became the subject of research by academic scholars of religious studies.
Yes, my connection to all existence is metaphysical, meaning I am not physically connected to all existence through quantum particles or DNA. And yet there is cosmic consequence with my death. God‘s poetic like that.

You have no need to feel connected to a god. Neither do I. The connection just is.
Is peyote involved somewhere in this? Ever read Carlos Csstaneda?

My imaginary cat and confidant Arnold says hello. He says to ask if you can do any tricks like flooding the world, sending down lightning, waking on water, and raising the dead.

If so we will rent a venue and sell tickets. Do you do any mind reading tricks? Puling a rabbit out of a hat?

How we got here?

A brief outline.

Out of a nebula our sun formed with planets. After a long geological process self replicating structures developed leading to an evolution leading to my parents having sex production me.

How we came to he forum is a long life process part chance part choice. Please no derail into free will.

Before our solar system formed an infinite sequence of events.

And the final end of any life on Earth.

When the Sun runs out of fusion fuel in about 5 billion years, it will expand into a red giant, likely engulfing Mercury, Venus, and possibly Earth. After this phase, it will shed its outer layers to form a planetary nebula and its core will collapse into a dense white dwarf, which will then slowly cool over eons.

Since 2009, I have known that I am the incarnation of God and that if I didn't exist, nothing would. All existence began upon my appearance on Earth in 1980 when I was five years old, and upon my death all things will begin in the exact same way.
I feel like this sometimes too. It usually means I need to go to bed.

It's weird feeling to realise that we'll only ever experience the world from one set of sensory organs, and only for a tiny sliver of time, and that we cannot experience the vast majority of space and time.

Past cycles aren’t remembered, so essentially we do only live once. Enjoy it while it’s here.

Giant turtle god says, "Hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss." ( Translation from reptile hissolalia: You better have 4 legs, a retractable head, and a bigass shell. Also, you better dine on snails, bugs, leaves, and berries. I have spoken. I know mine and mine know me. There be but 3 parts of the Turtlehead: Big Me, the Hatchling, and Ghost Turtle. Hiss.)

Your cult is never going to work unless you begin to make good money from it and offer money to underlings, too. What is your business plan?
Not interested in any of that. In fact, if somebody believed me, that would be scary. But I know they won’t so I’m safe. Haha. I just share it with other people to get them thinking differently. Maybe they’ll think someone like me is on the Earth.

If you don't want anyone to believe you then why make this thread? If you don't want people to believe you are God, then why not just shut up about it?

I came to my revelation in 2009 long before I learned what Christians secretly believe which was another revelation that happened last year.

Hence my thread
Thread 'The secret Christians aren’t sharing with you'

Not that any of this matters anyway.

We can and are influenced by narratives and stories in our culture even if you aren't consciously aware of them. You seem to be the standard product of a 70'ies to 90'ies western upbringing.

We subconsciously absorb a hell of a lot of information. Information that we think is natural and normal.

Your concept of God seems to be a Israelite derivative. As is almost all concepts of divinity in the west. Even the ones that are not are heavily influenced by ancient Israelite ideas.

Historical concepts of the sacred are all over the place and can be extremely weird. The fact that your concept of divinity ignores all the, to us, weird ones and pick up on modern western ideas tell me that you are a product of the culture you came from.

Or to put it another way, God is created in the image of the humans that invented it.

And believing is seeing. Your belief is not proof of existence

Should this thread be in ~E~?

It is actually quite remarkable that we are a conscious and aware portion of the universe. We make the mistake of thinking we live in the universe, we are part of the universe, we are the part that is sentient and has the capacity to look in on itself. We are tiny, miniscule, meaningless, ... but that is something that the Sun or the most massive objects in the universe have no clue about. Take that Betelgeuse, you ignorant fuck!

Meh. This whole thread is dodgy. I remember an episode of Gumby from 1959 where Pokey gets hit by a livestock truck and is declared dead. Gumby finds the veteranarian, Dr. Goodpaws, who injects Pokey with zoo-quality dopamine. Pokey's heart begins beating again and he tells Gumby that he was in Pony Purgatory and he got to meet the whole Godhead. In person. In fact, all 3 of 'em took rides on him, even the ghost. And not one of 'em mentioned some audodidact from the Hoosic River who was gonna bring on the end times and do a bunch of Revelation-style raising of rumpuses.

Oops. Strike all that. It wasn't Gumby. It was a Davey and Goliath from '62. Largely the same message, though. Just mutt instead of pony.

All I'm hearing is that you haven't tried solipsism yet. Everybody should. It's great.

This is just Nietzsche’s eternal recurrence of the same. Nothing new here. Get your own material.

he got it from the greeks. i learned of it 15 years after my revelation.

Yes, he got it from the Greeks, but transformed it into something else.

Can you offer some evidence for your “revelation” outside of the more parsimonious assumption of self-delusion?
