Vlad Putin returns to Russia today after a one-day visit to India for the annual Russia-India summit. I think we had a big list to buy from Russia - Su57s, more S-400s, S-500s, AK-630 air defense guns, missiles. TU-160 bombers (which perhaps we do not need) and tanks were on offer. But the joint declaration does not mention anything about it except Russia saying that it will help India to modernize its weaponry. The deal was worth some 10 billion USD. Is that to avoid a heart-burn to Trump? Or that the deal did not fructify?

Russia, however will provide portable small modular reactors to India for its energy needs. :)

Oh Wow! Congratulations! Your country must just be bursting with pride. Helping another country kill Ukrainians and steal their children! The Sumerians invented writing. The Mesopotamians invented the wheel. The Germans gave the world the printing press. The English gave the world the Magna Carta. The US landed on the moon and gave the world rock n roll. US and Europe are buying much more from Russia than what India is buying.
We do not know what Putin agreed to give to us. American arms are damn costly.
American forces cannot even buy a cup for tea for less than a hundred dollars (proverbial). Ours cost just 5 cents.
The war was brought on Ukraine by the machinations of NATO.
We don't have anything to do with that.
 
Bullshit. The war in Ukraine was instigated clearly and unambiguously by Russia.

But hey, if Russia has a stooge spewing bullshit on internet forums all day, why wouldn't India get such a stooge planted?

I won't even suck the dick of the shitheel in charge of my own country let alone their dick AND Putin's dick, but here some people can't help but do the wobbly H with both of them, I guess.

India and Zelenskyy's office are preparing for his visit to India.
I am sure there will be a Modi-Zelenskyy hug.
Modi's has said - 'we are not neutral, we are in favor of peace'.
 
I think Putin will accept an India-brokered peace rather than a Trump-brokered peace, though I am not sure what is cooking.
That will mean a dream broken for Trump. He may have to be satisfied with the FIFA world peace prize.
God forbid that Modi gets it. That will mean new sanctions on India. However, India GDP is slated to grow 7% this year.

Wow. What a powerful and principled statement. Actually it sound more like some shitty campaign slogan; words without substance. Worse, it is hypocrisy when the leader of your country says, we are for peace and at the same time we will financially support Russia's war machine.

Who knows what is cooking behind the screen?
EU buys Oil, Gas and coal from Russia worth 110 billion USD from Russia. We buy Oil and Coal worth 29 billion USD. So, don't sermonize us.
We are s poor country. Won't we buy from where we get it cheaper? We are trying to reduce it and replace it with arms buys. ;)

Most of this going to Hungary and Slovakia. My understanding is aside from these two, other remaining (some landlocked) countries have decreased their oil and gas purchases from Russia by 90% and are working diligently to severe these ties completely and permanently. So saying "EU buys oil" is a little misleading. And when India sees nothing but opportunity and increases its oil purchases from Russia from 2-3% in 2022 to as much as 38% today, I damn sure will sermonize you. You can plead poverty all you want. Your not that poor. When I read India is largely using these savings to serve your underclass, I'll give you your due.

Where else do you think that the savings are going? Modi is plowing every thing back, even his salary, to the benefit of people of India.
He just needs a bowl of kedigeree for his needs. Some days not even that, when he is fasting. He is a vegetarian and a teetotaler.
He will leave the Prime Ministership of India with just a bag of four clothes on his back. (Others could have made billions)
Modi is the poorest Prime Minister of any country. His assets total USD 335,000 after 13 years as the Chief Minister of a prosperous Indian state, Gujarat, and 11 years as the Prime Minister of India. He has no foreign accounts, no house, no land, no car.
When he became the Prime Minister of India in 2014, his assets totalled USD 183,000.
His money is not enough to buy the apartment in which I live.

I don't need a bridge. And I don't buy what I don't need. Delhi land cost is rather high. Where will I keep it? Ask Putin, he has a lot of gold.
Is US market that down that it has to sell Brooklyn bridge? Is the Statue of Liberty also for sale?
