NFL 2025

So, former Patriots QB Mac Jones is leading the #1 passing team in the NFL. Jones was disbanded after not being able to perform well enough under three or so Offensive Coordinators and I think as many head coaches. Former NY Giants QB Doug Jones, no relation, is leading the Colts with the best record in the NFL, after failing to have any success in New York, despite being signed to a gargantuan contract.

Meanwhile, the weak scheduled Patriots are in first place of the AFC East. I'm curious what Mac Jones would have done with McDaniels making the calls in New England., along side Vrabel.

Of course, the Giants still suck. :)

Are my Arizona Cardinals the greatest 2-5 team of all time? Every game decided by one score.

Meh. Life sucks and then you die.
Broncos lost two games by last second field goals. They should be 7-0 instead of 5-2.

Giants rookie QB seems legit. Surprised by their defensive failures; that was supposed to be a strong unit.

Daniel Jones was never as bad in NY as people claimed, and he’s in the perfect situation.

Steelers started strong, but they’re about to hit the wall. They were 4-1 a week ago, but they stand a good chance to be 4-5 by mid-November. The sad thing is that they might still be in first place in the AFC North.

And the Chiefs have awakened. Gag me with a spoon.

I don't know how common this is, but it was of interest when I saw it.

QB Sacks
1) 34 - Cam Ward (TN) 1-7
2) 28 - Drake Maye (NE) 6-2
3) 25 - Jalen Hurts (Phi) 6-2
4) 22 - Justin Fields (NYJ) 1-7
5) 22 - Justin Herbert (LAC) 5-3
6) 20 - Trevor Lawrence (JAX) 4-3

Is this a running QB thing? I was surprised to see two of the best records in football at the moment just under the 1-7 Titans for sacks allowed.

Ward: rookie on a bad team
Maye: still inexperienced
Hurts: holds the ball too long
Fields: Jets, no further explanation needed
Herbert: sub-par o-line and run game
Lawrence: combination of the above

Lamar (15 in 4 games) would be up there if he hadn't missed three games. His o-line is really bad, and he was playing on a bad hamstring before it got bad enough to sit out.

I think Aaron Rodgers is going to blow a gasket soon. He got outplayed last night by the guy who replaced him in Green Bay, and he spent almost the entire game yelling at everyone and everything. And the Steelers' schedule gets harder now after having mostly creampuffs the first six weeks.

Division leaders after week 8. How many will still be there after week 18?

I guess 4.

4 or 5.

Any person with 1/4 of a brain should think Kansas City will finish in first. Buffalo would be the smart money in the AFC East. Seattle has a lot of competition. And Green Bay might be a toss up with Detroit.

The remainder don't seem as much in doubt to me.

1 in the AFC (Colts).
2 or 3 in the NFC (Eagles and Bucs; Lions over Packers, Rams possibly over Seahawks).

Bills and Chiefs should catch up. Steelers vs. Ravens should be more clear in a couple weeks. Ravens have the fifth easiest remaining schedule, while Steelers have the 25th. I’m also expecting some trade activity by Tuesday that could change things.
