I wish I could join you in that hope, but too much of the electorate is uninformed, apathetic, and forgetful. I've been voting since 1972, and I've seen the cycle play out over and over. Repubs get in power and preach the miraculous powers of tax cuts: they will pay for themselves in increased economic opportunity, unleashing the power of the market and inspiring the job producers. In reality, a tax cut with no built-in spending reduction or reformatted excise structure just equals debt. Having ramped up the national debt and enacted reckless deregulation, the Repubs will eventually precipitate an economic disaster, such as the savings and loan crisis at the end of the 80s, which showed us that taking away the government oversight of the mid-1930s reduced the integrity of our banking system to the level of the lowest, greediest industry figures. And of course '08-'09 was even worse; without regulation the insurance, investment, and banking sectors nearly annhilated our economy. You never hear a peep about debt, debt service, or the cost to future generations when they're in power. As soon as a Democrat enters the White House the Repubs start screeching deficits like crows in a pine tree.
With Trump's big beautiful abortion, much of the hurt is offset until '27, so that they can lull the electorate into a status quo midterm election next year. That strategy could well succeed. Maybe this will change now, dare we hope? Rand Paul did go on record saying that the Republicans owned the BBB and the increased debt. That clip will unquestionably be played over and over. Maybe the tragedy in Texas will be a wake up call, too.

Plus, the more time Trump is in office the lamer the excuses get. He’s having problems now blaming the bad jobs report for this month on Biden, because after all, we are almost six months in to Trump’s second reign. Just scanning a number of them, some of the things don't even appear to be related to the bill, and are more related to the Presidency in general... and presumed outcomes down the road.

When looking at the ills of this bill, that spam is probably the last place to good hunting for reliable info.

We know that the bill looks to reduce Green Infrastructure support (while not shifting to nuclear), expands tax cuts that generally help the wealthy, and does as such by cutting Medicaid. And even by their math, this adds to the deficit... even with their rosy GDP predictions. And tax cuts aren't supposed to be deficit funded unless you are in a recession.

To conclude, this bill isn't bad because of what the spam in the OP says, it is bad because it is intended to default the US Government.

Congresspeople are often literally in fear of their lives and too afraid to act. What will save America, if anything, is grassroots bravery.

The Big Ugly Bill contains much to deprecate. For example,

The bill includes $85 million to move the Space Shuttle from the Smithsonian Museum to Houston, Texas. Though the Smithsonian Institution estimates the cost could exceed $325 million.

In a sense this isn't as expensive as it might seem. The super-rich will get much more that $2 trillion altogether from BUB. (They will benefit from lower corporate taxes, laying off regulaters and much more) but even this low estimate divides out to $40 billion for each Senator who voted for the bill. Compared with the BUB's value to the billionaires, $85 million (or even $325 million) to help Senators Cruz and Cornyn get re-elected was chicken-feed. Doing favors for red states is key to the Maggoty BUB program. (Texas is a purplish swing state rather than bright red, but that makes bribing it even more compelling.)

Fittingly the Space Shuttle move is funded in part by canceling expensive plans to retrieve materials that the Perseverence rover has been painstakingly collecting. Mars may be the Red planet, but it's not a Red state! Who needs those Martian materials anyway (other than "scientists")? Elon Musk will be entertaining harems at a Martian night club before long. I read that China has its own project to retrieve materials from Mars. Will they try to steal the materials abandoned on Perseverence? Perhaps we need a mission to destroy that rover before the commies get their hands on it.

Let's just be thankful that there's no plan to move the Statue of Liberty to Alabama or Mar-a-Lago.

A million dollars may not seem like much but it can pay for a few dozen trips by private jet for America's Best.

Apparently some of these staff members took the early buyout. The Administration did give the NWS permission to rehire about 120 people but they anticipate several more months to fill the positions.
