“I would have made a good pope.” — Richard Nixon

Someone should tell Trump to shipped 100 tons of bird seed to the Conclave of Cardinals to sweeten the deal.

Well, he is as qualified to be Pope as he is to be POTUS, which is not at all.
This is another example of his dementia and delusional mind.
I had to double check other sources before posting this to be sure this wasn't satire, but it's real.
They say Trump was joking in response to a question, but he is basically incapable of true humour.

There is a long tradition of Popes who were self-centered, power-hungry vainglorious assholes convinced of their own infallibility who would gladly sacrifice followers if it meant they could accumulate even more obscene amounts of wealth for the church and festoon the Vatican with gold, stolen treasures, and spend a good chunk of the money on glorifying themselves with excessive pomp and circumstance.

The only thing Trump is lacking is an even cursory knowledge of the Catholic Bible. Or any Bible for that matter.

Yep. John Clarke (may he rest in power), would be saying, "how the living fuck can I satiririze this shit?"

As far back as 2016, he was saying, "I know more than all the generals."
He's said he knows more than CPAs, that no one knows more about the courts than he does, that (in reference to pandemic response) "I should do this for a career", that "I know how the world works"; he figured out that DEI caused the D.C. helicopter/plane crash within hours of the event. And, hell, he's "a very stable genius."
He is truly our Renaissance man. A polymath (spoiler -- he probably thinks that's a female math teacher.) A man for all seasons.
Let's face it, he alone can fix it.
Your loss, Catholics. Ya coulda had Pope Clunibus I.
