End of dark night for Proto-Indo-Europeans in their homeland in Arctic Circle.

"The Roman month Februarius was named after the Latin term februum, which means "purification", via the purification ritual Februa held on February 15 (full moon) in the old lunar Roman calendar. January and February were the last two months to be added to the Roman calendar, since the Romans originally considered winter a monthless period."

So, they took first bath after the winter to purify themselves to get rid of the two month's stink.
 
In Red Dwarf Season XI episode 6, Kryton the mech (robot) has an existential crisis, having learned that the death of the universe, though a long way off, is still impending.
But the universe heals him in a one-on-one encounter after which he pronounces:

"I realize now we're all in the same boat. Even the universe. And even though the boat has a hole in it, at least we get to see the sea."

Right.
Satan IS just a strawman.
He allegedly wants our 'souls'.
But the only people/entities who ever say or do anything about 'souls'TM are the cults.
Satan is more illusive/absentee than even god.
