Why is Trump going out of his way to make people suffer?

Probably in a simulation
Apparently SNAP can access about $5 billion in emergency funding but I think Trump stopped that from happening. Then there are cuts to medicaid or something (and lots of things in the BBB) and health insurance going up 200% or 300%. I'm not sure if he's ever really done anything that would benefit working class people or the poor in this term.

He seems to go out of his way to make ordinary people suffer while helping tech billionaires. Is he trying to provoke people? His press secretary said that Trump's priority is the ballroom (which might be named after Trump). Trump doesn't seem to care if his voters are suffering from his actions.

I think he was more careful in his first term but not really this term. So anyway, does Trump just not care or is he deliberately trying to provoke ordinary people including MAGA supporters? I mean by his actions, not necessarily his words...

I tried asking AI about whether Trump had done anything this term that would benefit the poor or working class and it couldn't really come up with clear examples. It mentioned these claims by the administration:
"One, Big, Beautiful Bill" provisions:
• No Tax on Tips: Saves tipped workers nearly $1,500/year.
• No Tax on Overtime: Saves overtime workers nearly $1,500/year.
• Middle-Class Cuts: $1,780 average tax cut for middle-income taxpayers.
• Lower-Income Cuts: 15% average tax cut for bottom 40% of earners; largest reduction of any group

"America First" agenda:
• Job Creation: Over 500,000 new private sector jobs created.
• Wage Growth: Blue-collar wages up 1.4%; real wages increased monthly.
• Tariffs: Protect American jobs and manufacturing from unfair trade

Workforce Development:
• Trade School Support: Record enrollment; expanded apprenticeship programs (over 183,000 new apprentices).

Administration Stance: Cuts target "fraud, waste, and abuse" in programs like Medicaid and do not affect beneficiaries.
But these had counter-arguments.

The bigger question is why the Republican Congress is letting him get away with this. Unfortunately this question is probably rhetorical.
To stop Trump I thought they'd need a significant number of people to side with them... then that might negatively affect their career... and sometimes Trump likes getting revenge - while rewarding some of the most loyal people (excluding the poor and working class MAGA supporters)
So anyway I'm talking about how psychotic or sadistic Trump is...

BTW here are Trump's rules that are often attributed to Roy Cohn:
Rule 1: Attack, attack, attack
Cohn’s philosophy was that the best defense is an overwhelming offense. Trump adopted this by relentlessly going after critics, rivals, or institutions that challenged him. The idea is to keep opponents on the back foot.

Rule 2: Admit nothing, deny everything
This rule emphasizes never conceding wrongdoing or error, no matter the evidence. The strategy is to project strength and avoid giving adversaries any leverage.

Rule 3: Always claim victory, never admit defeat
Even in the face of setbacks, the narrative must be spun as a win. This creates a perception of invincibility and keeps supporters energized, regardless of actual outcomes.
For some reason this term he seems to be attacking the working class and especially the poor. The third rule was relevant to January 6, 2021.

BTW those rules are featured in the movie about Trump's beginnings, The Apprentice. Also in that movie Roy Cohn uses blackmail and maybe blackmail could be used on problematic Republicans...

As far as the unusual mind of Trump goes, he posted this AI video on social media which shows him wearing a crown in a fighter jet labelled "King Trump" which dumps faeces on protesters:

It’s just white privilege as usual. Everyone knows if Obama had posted a video like that, he’d have been impeached, arrested for treason, and given the death penalty in some military facility somewhere.
