Auctually in order to enjoy my life I do need marijuana. I have RA really bad in my hands and wrists and the weed provides relief. The legal meds make me ill the kind of ill where you just move into the shitter and stay there.
As far as resources used l grow my own in my backyard in place of the shrubs and lawn that were here when we bought the house. Since I started this my contribution to the local landfill has dropped way off because I now compost. Water I collected during the winter rains gets me into early July and grey water I collect from bathing and washing dishes and such takes me to harvest. The resources I use were being used regardless of my plants.

Have you enjoyed smoking tobacco as well? I don't believe pot is better treatment than conventional drugs.

Nope tried cigarettes once about 45 years ago made me sick and I don't smoke pot I vaporize or eat it. I didn't say pot was a better treatment for everyone I said it was better for me since the conventional drugs make me violently ill. Reading the potential risks of the conventional drugs is scary in itself. The side effects of the weed have been beneficial in their own right. My blood pressure is lower with the pot someting my Dr appreciates. Enlarged prostate issues had me waking up 6 to 8 times a night to pee now I pee at bed time and once in the middle the night not 8 times the extra sleep is nice.
I have a pain pump implant delivering fentanyl right to my fucked up spine and the pot has drastically alter the need for dosage increases which my Dr also appreciates. The prickly burning sensation in my feet due to neuropathy goes away after I vaporize. Oh and the drugs they put me on for the neuropathy caused suicidel thoughts for which they then proscribed something else, the pot made all that go away. I didn't start using the pot for any of those things it was just an added bonus.
The weed allowed me to dump 1 prescription for prostate issues 2 prescriptions for neuropathy and 3 scripts for RA issues and lowers the amount of fentanyl I'm prescribed and cuts my blood pressure med from 40mg to 20mg so while I respect your opinion on weed I disagree due do real life experience.

That's a lot of medical problems. But I am not convinced that pot is a miracle treatment even in your case. At the same time I am not against medical use. I am not even that against recreational use, but this is mostly because it's a lost war, I mean banning it is more expensive than allowing.

It comes down to I don't like it or know anything about it so it's bad. Sex is far more risky than pot. Shit driving to the store for milk can get you killed it happens every day but nope it's that weed you used or that naked nipple you caught a glimpse of that's going to crash civilization.

Wonder how the human end worked, with the pot situation. We are meant to process it in our brains for some reason, or we became very tolerant to it (because of the famine thing).

Yes, it's "meant to" be processed in our brains. But all psychoactive chemicals in plants are "designed" to make creatures not eat them. Remember that when you smoke weed, you barely smoke quarter of a gram in a go. If you'd eat enough Marijuana to get the calories to sustain you, just imagine how high you'd be? If that was all you ate you wouldn't function. So it's a very effective weapon against being eaten. Which is what it's for.

Yeah I agree it is a food source as the function of the plant, in God's great creation. Just a big bonus that we can get high on it. So many bonuses on this planet omg. The terrarium in which we live was probably custom-fit, in some cases. God really threw us a bone (no offense to women).

Humans can't get high eating straight from the plant. The oils have to be boiled out. Hundreds, thousands of times, humans have had to resort to eating strange things - for long periods of time. Cannabis is most likely the winner in that department because it grows like... weeds. It tastes pretty good, barbos. I think I could live on it. It wasn't weird to the waves of ancestors which came, died, came back and ate more pot. They were forced to eat all kinda things to stay alive. We probably don't get high from eating it because we adapted.

I bet cannabis puts some animals and insects on an endless death trip. I bet it is intense.
