Totally Justified

As a person who did a little work in retail, I think I can understand this.

People suck.
I understand it a lot more on the employee side than the entitled dipshit customer side.
Egads, did I miss something in the story? Are you guys siding with the gun nuts? Did I go through a space warp and wind up in bizarro universe where Spock has a beard?

I've worked in retail and other service jobs and yes people can be total assholes. But these three wannabe cowboys bring asshattery to a whole new level. Not one gun but three!

Not only fire them, they should do some time.

Understanding isn't the same as advocating. I just get why people get mad at customers sometimes, my best friend used to work at Walmart, so I have a bit of an idea of it. Of course, employees are also assholes too sometimes. See for example this dipshit Amazon employee who stabbed their coworker:

I don't really understand that one since I just don't interact with people at work much.

I agree, and it sounds like they're in trouble; Their bond was set at $100,000. We'll see...
That behavior doesn't even border on insanity - it's well into the territory.

I understand why someone might want to hit a person in the face with a pie, and in many circumstances I might advocate for it.
I don't understand why someone might want to end someone else's life and risk their own over trivial matters, no matter how angry or frustrated with "the help", or the "asshole threatening customer" at a fucking donut shop.
That mentality seems to be on the rise.
My guess would be that at least one of the kids had been held up before while working there, because that shit can make you insane.

I definitely understand intense anger over (basically) trivial matters, though. For instance I have had intense anger over my neighbors letting their dog out in the middle of the night, and it would be barking around 2 a.m. I'm not someone who would get violent over that, but I could see why someone would get violent over that, since I've felt the anger. The only difference is I deal with my anger in healthier ways than committing violence. But if I didn't have those management strategies (which I'm thankful for) who's to say what would happen.
