The idiocy of YouTube's system for dealing with copyright claims

This channel on YouTube wanted to use a piece of music for their outro. They contacted the appropriate copyright holder and paid the appropriate licensing fee so that they could legally use the song in their videos. Of course YouTube severely punished them for doing this.
 
As he says, the only way to stop it is to take them to court and they perfectly well know people won't, thus they have no incentive to fix their system.

Hopefully they'll hurt enough people that some class action lawyer will take the case and bankrupt them.

And note that this isn't really You-Tube's system, but rather a third party system that understands that the under penalty of perjury part of DMCA claims goes utterly unenforced.
