Let’s do it!
Reconcile the murder of defenseless people clinging to flotsam in the open ocean because “drugs”, with the pardon of the
Honduran asswipe billionaire convicted of sending TONS of cocaine into the US.
Please, ‘splain to me how that works!

I think you almost self-explained it with “billionaire”. Add “ex-president “ and we are done.

Of course, maybe Trump is setting a precedent for his retirement.

"That's the American way"? We now have a woman who provably enticed hundreds of teen-aged girls effectively into being raped, being given special treatment because she promises to lie about the guilt of a key associate. While Eric Garner was killed by cops on Staten Island for the crime of selling loosies.

The U.S., like most countries, has committed atrocities before but the extreme criminality of the present Administration is unprecedented. The response by George Bush the Elder to a drug-dealer as government chief was much less benign than Trump's. I've mentioned before that the U.S. informed Thailand in 1992 that Narong Wongwan, newly chosen Prime Minister, would be denied entry to the U.S. due to his heroin smuggling operations. No other political P.M. was available -- "It was Narong's turn" -- so the head of the junta appointed himself P.M. This provoked  Black May (Thailand) (a crisis finally ended dramatically by the constitutional monarch H.M. Bhumibol the Great).
