This article says Mueller is still hoping to flip Gates and Manafort. They're both still trying to make bail, but to do so they have to demonstrate sufficient assets. The possibility exists that their assets have been laundered, and eventually bail litigation will run its course and they will be incarcerated. At which time they may be more willing to cut a deal.

I feel like Mueller’s prosecutors are playing with these two men as cats play with balls, just patiently batting them around, waiting for the inevitable admission that they can’t make bail because they don’t have assets they can put up because everything they own has been laundered. At which point, after getting the judge rule over and over that they’re flight risks, I suppose the government will move to throw them in the pokey, which will finally get them to consider flipping.

Robert Mueller is pursuing Trump campaign meetings and contacts with foreign officials that have not been made public.

According to WP/WW there's no such thing. If they haven't been shown the evidence, it doesn't exist. Period.

Per the New York Times, Flynn may have flipped. CNN's summary that is not behind a pay-wall is here. This could be very big, if true. Can/will he testify that Trump promised him that he'd protect him from Comey? The next few weeks should be very interesting.

Depends on what the bomb is... if its "trump is under arrest", then immediately would be best... faster, even.
if its "Flynn is going to jail for 6 months for independently doing stuff", then perfectly timed to cause the most harm to the (now defunct) Republican party would be ideal for me.

Depends on what the bomb is... if its "trump is under arrest", then immediately would be best... faster, even.
if its "Flynn is going to jail for 6 months for independently doing stuff", then perfectly timed to cause the most harm to the (now defunct) Republican party would be ideal for me.

I'd prefer not to give the rethuglican establishment any more time than necessary to let them distance themselves from Trump&Co and re-group for the 2018 elections. Best if the stench remains strong at the beginning of November next year... OTOH, a Pence Presidency might only add to the damage. I'm still ambivalent!

Indeed, those are issues. Though, Mueller probably has enough State based crimes to get Trump convicted in New York. Trump has already realigned the 4th position of power in the DoJ for a Saturday Night Massacre II. The fall out would be interesting. I can't wait to hear Huckabee Sanders explain it. I suppose this is why Mueller is keeping things tight. So Trump doesn't know where anything is. There is one other thing I wonder, if Mueller is fired, is there anything stopping him from releasing what he has?
